Hi all. Just thought I would remind those who have access to cable here in Oz, or know someone who has cable that the Big Day In will be shown on Channel V this weekend of Feb 7 and 8 from noon till 7pm. Not sure what day they will be showing the KOL set, but they will definitely be doing so, so look out for it and get your VCRs ready. As well, if you head to www.channelv.com.au, click on the Big Day In link on the home page, and then to the Kings of Leon link, there are some pics of the boys up there, and I think more will be added soon. Hopefully I am not repeating myself and all this hasn't already been repeated somewhere else. Eeeeh...can't wait  |

hoping to see myself in the crowd on sat and sun, KOL was so good at the goldie bdo, dead serious i was on the fence (wasn't hard cause KOL aren't that well known here.... well comapred to jet and the dandys which went off) me and my friends are having a get together to watch it...

Ooh! Against the fence!  Me wish me was that close...I just read a review of the KOL/Strokes show and they mentioned that Perth is the city in Oz where KOL has sold the most CDs....I was surprised by that... And gnomey, I'm going to try and tape most of the good stuff, so shall we say, KOL (of course), Muse, The Darkness, Jet for sure? Or maybe I'll just see how I go and fill up the tape...it's going to be hard taping 7 hours straight of it...hopefully all the good stuff comes in one hit They tend to disperse the interviews and the performances which is really annoying....will lechu know how I go...eh heh |

Ooh, me again. Just to let ppl know, on Saturday, some of the KOL set will begin screening on [V] at about 3 pm EST, and on Sunday it will be between 3 and 4 pm...they are approximate times only. Go to the [V] homepage for a more thorough run down for other bands on the BDO line-up...interesting to note that the Strokes and the Dandys did not give permission to show their sets...

oO no. that's the last thing i want. no no please dear gods in da heavens above please no let me be in any of the shots *crosses fingers really well, strokes (fake) rabbit foot and cuddles four leaf clover tightly* O and go perth for leon loveage! it knows taste when it hears it. and u have so many good bands. do u know of fourth floor collapse serena? o i luv them so much but the gods r against me because everytime they r in melbourne something disatrous happens like a core meltdown etc and i miss them SERENA u know my heart. LEONS yea baby!muse, JET, the darkness.. umm can i bother u a lil bit more and add THE DATSUNS into the list? o PLease i'd give anything for them to be part of the tapeage fest. DATSUNS I would kill for. anything to see those boys  o and the butterfly effect. i know it's asking alot but i'll pay u back. i'll be ur slave. erm i have a box of goodies here somewhere with lots of leon goodness.. u name it u got it |

Hah! Yooor farnee. Sure, no probs, my bro said that Datsuns kicked arse, he's not a fan of their music but thought they were great live...and he loves Butterfly Effect too, so I would have ended up tapin them anyway...
ooh, and yes, Fourth Floor Collapse are cool. One of my friends is good pals with the guitarists in the band...I saw them open for Turin Brakes and the lead singer has some pipes on him! heh...
oh, and before I forget, your VCR is able to watch tapes recorded in long form? that way I can fit 6 hours worth of footage on one 3 hr tape...

the datsuns?!!! o slut boy rock??! oH yayness and all i think i'm going to keel. o thank u soooooo much. now i've really got a big dumb grin on my face o and yea i can watch in lp form. no probs there at all. but OH wOw u r connected to royalty. 4th floor collapse. i luv that boys voice. awh it gets me everytime. u lucky thing. and *sniff* i soooo wanted to see turin breaks. i missed them at falls because i missed falls because food dip is evil and then i couldn't get to their sideshow at the corner hotel. it was a double wack in the head. were they good? o what am i saying ofcoures they were good yea. oH wow i'm still high on the 4th floor thingy. thats cool. and cheers again |

Oh yes, Turin were brilliant. Lotsa British backpackers were there Everyone was singing along way loud, was tre excellente! Next day I had to take my sis to the domestic terminal to see her off to Melbourne, and they were there waiting to board a plane to Adelaide. Hahhaa! Of all the luck... yes, it seems somehow that I am in the right place at the right time and that I know people who are 'in the know', but the saddest part is that I've never actually spoken to rock royalty OR actually know any of these people personally... ooh, I took a pic with Michael Franti once...I think that's the most I've ever said to a muso, "Can I have a picture?" In close second is saying "Thanks" to Jared for holding the door open for me...heeehhh serena = (o)(o) |

you're not  i was soo nervous about meetin the leons but i proceeded to get roaring drunk instead  glad you enjoyed turin brakes, i've seen them a few times now, they're proper nice boys even if gale is losing his hair, bless him. we met them at a signing and after a gig last year, how cute is this pic - they look v. confuused

i just watched the kings on the big day in. they showed some of the interview they did with andy g, and 3 songs. i think the songs were molly's chamber, wasted time and... shite i forgot! im pretty sure it was california waiting,
it was from the saturday bdo in sydeny, and the boys looked goood! jared had on his nick shirt.. so cute

yes, turin brakes are very purdy...tiny boys, but purdy. They have the best harmonies... Ooh, yes, it was those three songs. I is really annoyed cuz they obviously cut the set up so that Red Morning Light will be on tomorrow, but I will be at work But not to worry, I have organised to get it taped for me. I would like to watch it in real time tho. I liked Caleb's hat and sunnies in the interview with Andy G. They didn't really say much tho...Jared spoke the most methinks. Oh, and apparently one of the VJs, Chloe, was saying how she knew this girl that pashed Lars from Metallica AND Jared from KOL AND Julian from The Strokes...AND this girl had tonsilitis, so Chloe was saying if everyone got sick and the BDO got cancelled, she knew who to blame. Hah! |

i loved caleb's hat and sunnies too, and his little swaeter thingy. he looked so cute! they were abit quiet in the interview. sometimes i cant stand andy g when he's interviewing, he seems like he 's trying to be so funny...i'll proably miss today on channel v....  i dont think i have a tape long enough! damn. i couldn't believe it when chloe said she knew someone that pashed jules, jared and lars. jared, i tottally undersatnd, who wouldnt wanna pash him? jules is such a manwhore, that i even got a kiss from him,but lars?? thats abit gross. |

i hate channel v. they showed the exact same 3 songs that they showed yesterday, plus abit more of the interview with andy g. so i rushed my friends though lunch, gunned it home and it was the same as yesterday! bastards.

AWWWWW MANNNN! I didn't realise it would be the same 3 songs! I got my bro to tape it while I was at work, and was so looking forward to watching it later.... That blows. I noticed they were repeating some songs of other people's sets, but didn't think they would repeat the exact same thing with KOL. Grrrr....maybe they will play the whole set as a special one day? Wishful thinking? man, that sux |
