well, im originally from North Wales, UK...moved to New Zealand 7 years ago...so i would like to go back to the UK for a while....travel around Europe......road trip in America..that sort of thing.....i need to finish my studies though first & of course, save lots of money!  |

O that reminds me of my parents, they moved out to aussie when they were jst married and lived their for 7 years (Perth), my mum always promised herself that if she finished her degree and graduated she would go back to Perth, but like you she needs to save lots of money adn hopefully she will be able to get there this summer. I'll be jealous but il be put on house sitting duties.
I'm studying in Wales, Aberystwyth, did u ever go there? it's really beautiful and they have snowdonia national park kinda near to it, sorry i bet u probly know that already, as u used to live there an all lol I hope u get to go travelling, When u go ul have to keep us all on this here forum updated

bloody hell!! i was born in bangor but lived in Llandudno...my Dad holds the title for fastest time running up Snowdonia and my grandfather is the first person to do a marathon up snowdonia...woth 1 leg!  wow! i wanna go home  im constantly wondering how much its all changed.... i might have a NZ accent but you never forget where you come from! my mum and her family imigrated to NZ when she was 6 then when she was 21 she went back to wales on a working holiday..she was staying with an aunt and my dad just happened to live next door & of course, his mother made him take my mum out on a date and the rest is history! they had me got married had more kids & my mums 2 month working holiday turned into 15 years! so thats how i came to be in NZ! |

My mum is always wondering how much Perth has changed, I keep asking people about the place that i meet at uni' and so far it's been good. I heard last night from another friend that Perth and Adelaide are the two best australian cities, whereas the rest are pretty much similiar ot European cities. I've always wanted to go to NZ tho, u have lots of diffrent weather there and the country is so varied in like, u have mountains as well as beaches, iv jst heard that NZ is alot more varied than Australia, but still i want ot go to Perth hehe
Do u like NZ, even tho ur from wales? Wales is still beautiful btw when my parents got back from Australia my mum was pregnant with my brother who is 3 years older than me and when i was born in 83 they decided to call me Kylie to remind them of Aussie (so i guess, i'm a lil boomerang that will always come back -or go back maybe- u know kylie is aboriginee for boomerang) b/c by that point, i dnt think they cld get back to aussie.
wat places are best in NZ?

like kylie minogue! how kool!! i was born in 83 too! bet you're older than me though!  yeah, i love NZ, its a completley different place which means that the life you lead here is so different! im so lucky that i can swim in the sea and so so many things alot of people go abroad to do..its all right on my doorstep here! yeah my dad is very much the patriot for wales whereas my mum classes herself as a kiwi* me on the other hand, i look at it as though i have 2 homes in 2 beauitiful places* australia is amazing! ive only been to brisbane but its beautiful & so big!! apparently melborne is very much like cities in europe whereas sydney is like any other city...brisbane is a very clean city...and so green! one thing ive noticed about auckland city here in NZ is that kiwis dont bother with celebrities! you could walk along queen st or k'road & see people! like i met one of the guys from the beastie boys! maybe i should score the streets when the kings are in town!  |

ya saffron u live in the worlds best country! i was in NZ a few weeks back and i fell in lurv with the palce. it's beautiful. it's alot like australia but alos so much not. and the differences are what make it better. everybody was so nice and there was a really easy going atmosphere. oz has it too but i've noticed a bit a a superioirty complex creeping up in some areas here and it bugs me. but Oh and u have wendy's!!! and DENNY's!!! they r the first take out joints i remember but they closed down here in the eighties so i was like a giddy kid when i saw them lol. o and auckland was so open and fresh. and it's got the k road. i was drawn to it like a magnet on my first day there. i didn't know what it was but i knew that i lurved it! and the best muso store i know 'real groovey records. that place is my religion!!
wellington. ah wellington it's like a baby melbourne and i don't mean that in a condescending way. it's just got the same sorta vibe going on only on a smaller scale cos of it's size. it's got gruff!
o and ur so right about brisbane. it's so clean and purdy! and cute. did u ever go to the valley in brisbane? it's kinda like the k road no? as in a cultural epicentre thing 4 music etc. but yea syd is awful. it doesn't have a heart. and if a city doesn't have a heart then something is wrong. it's too superficial. i like a town with dirt if u know what i mean. i like to scratch the surface and c what i can smell beneath.
i'm sorry i'm just remininscing awh i want to go back
o and u go gurl! hit the streets. u never know! it's the same dwn here. u never know who u might run into..

wow! you're so right!!  so im guessing you're in aussie? only cos you said "down here".... i dont really like k'road that much....its awesome like on a saturday morning with the markets and cafes but at night...it can be a scary place to be...lots of hookers...drag queens......the queerness in people comes out to play at night on k'road but i guess its the same in every city..... i live about 20 mins north of auckland city in a little town called orewa on the Hibiscus Coast! www.orewa-beach.co.nz i love it! ive lived here for almost 8 years now and its an awesome place to be! especially during the summertime* theres almost 20 beaches to choose from!! i love it sooo much! its all good to remininse gnome snatch......i love hearing about what people think of certain places in the world....i do love australia...id like to go live in brisbane for a while someday..... |

hello people i just got home from my big day out weekend. still in desperate need of sleep. kings were that good, not many people in aust know about them (they are suffering without even knowing they are) so i was standing there by my self on the fencewith my kings of leon shirt on having the best time of my life and all the other people around me are like "who are these people... they are so so good" and "get over to the cat stage you need to see this." kings were my absolute favourite of the day (well they tied with jet they rocked so badly, everyone was going off) anyways just thought i would tell everybody how good the gold coast bdo was.

alas i have disgraced myself terribly and as such can never resurface out of the pit space to which i crawled set begining. 
lets just say that drum stix were thrown. 4 to be exact and lets just say that i went for em along with about 20 other boys and then lets just say that it was not pretty. 10 boys vs. little OLd me. yes i am old and i do believe that i had nearly a decade on those lads. odds were against me and i failed. miserably i now have battlescars woo hOO!

BUT I TOUCHED IT!! i touched nathans stick oO it's giving me chills lol na the boy near me who nabbed it was kind enough to let me hold it. granted he loked a lil scared when i asked if i could touch it *cough* but i assured him that i would not run off with it and that it was really really important that i touch it. cos it is drummer boys stick after all. i will never wash my hand again.. well i didn;t until about 2 hours later when the clouds popped open and decided to do it for me. but for a small, fleeting moment i was happy awh but the evils who caught it did not deserve them grr |

oH baby yes!! it was so purdy and i do believe that it may have still been a little bit warm awh! i managed to score a drum stick for my friend from another band earlier that day i'm still shocked by tat one, and that thing was chipped and really brittle but nathans stick was still so nice with only a few dints. and it had blue tape wrapped around it. i lurv how that boy drums. he's a STAR! mission for tomorrow: get drum stick with pretty blue tape. come hell or high water , and knowing melbourne weather it could be anything, i'm getting one. well i hope i will. no i won't but i can dream. yea i can dream that i get one |
