it was when they played brixton and i won tickets 2 go see them play. the gig was AMAZING my particular favourites were happy alone, trani and california waiting. caleb sexily roared and moaned his way through it and jared was just doing some cool bass dances and looking like he was really enjoying himself when they exited we were sad but exhilerated nontheless as we were walking out fran healy, who was sitting behind us asked if wed enjoyed the show i said yes and cheekinly asked if he could take us backstage he tok us to the bar and just told us to "act cool" regina spektor was standing in front of me nattering about julian casablancas whoi also love. fran then took us to their dressing room it was filled with smoke and i gasped as i saw jared at the back i looked round and saw kate moss and stella mcartney on the sofa fran introduced us to jared who shook our hands and when fran told him how mad we went at the gig jared shyly muttered "awesome, awesome" he then took us to meet matthew who was wearing a cool pink jacket nathan was the sweetest guy and i told him he was better than the strokes who id seen the week before i swear he went red. then caleb came over he looked so cool he apologised for being sweaty and then HUGGED US in his beautiful velvet jacket. i got a peice of paper signed by caleb and mat. ill never forget that night

O wow! That's wonderful, I'm really pleased you had such a good night. I met three of them the other week and they are really nice guys! You wouldn't believe it, if you bought into the 'hype' surrounding them (which is absolute crap if you ask me!) but they are and it makes me happy to know that you had a good night!
I understand what you mean about going crazy at the gig, it's hard not to. Honestly, I always feel like it's a treat whenever i see them live and it is. I'm not suprised either that they were better than the strokes. I like the strokes but they don't have the depth that kings posess. That's what makes them so good in my opinion.
and Bless Nathan, I'm still gutted i didn't get to talk to him. I hope you have a good time when you see them live Bill, have you seen them live before? If not, you will NOt be dissappointed they were on fire at Nottingham (one of the times i saw them live), and if you get Nathan's drumming, I hope he plays as well as what he did at Nottingham.

See, hehe i lurve that cause like they make ya proud, ya know hehe when u go to watch them play and they play that fucking well!! it's like .. i fucking lurveeeee ur banddd!!!!! and turn into a stoopid fool and start crying hahaha iv seen them three times in total now and i dunno wat it was but ... there was something in the air that night!! can't wait to see them play again! .. i sooo wanna go to BDO dates .. i was cocidering spending my nxt loan installment on flights and the like jst to see htem play again!! how fucked is that!! i wldn't even care if i met them again or not i jst gotta see them play!! hahah sorry but i do bloody lOve this band!!

ditto. they mean EVERYTHING. one day i will write this all down and make you all cry. seriously. they are all great people. but that isn't it. there's something underneath the skin, muscle and bone, something deep within the marrow that hits me right here. something so powerful that has changed me. but whatever... they're soooo hot and i dont mean to be condescending

and thanku for writing that again b/c i feel less like a twat now for all the times i rambled for about an hour, not that, that wld have stopped me but i dunno it's nice to see others do it, really nice. Uv also given me back a lil slice of my sanity this morning. jst ignore il be fine again by the time u read this
