for me on call and fans. the live version has heavier guitars and a slower drum beat and fans is louder too

A lot of their songs sound a lot better live, but "Back Down South" recorded cannot even be compared to the live version. Live is simply sublime.

I agree on Back Down South, but also SNSL. The album track didn't really stand out to me, but when I saw live vids of it, I really started to love that song a whole lot more.

I agree with On Call for sure. The album version is just ok for me. Live is pretty awesome. Also Radioactive is so much better live.

Back Down South sure, Black Thumbnail definitely...Trani.
Slow Night, So Long is better on the record because of the way it finishes (if they ever played the "Rise and Shine" part after SNSL or before KOTR at a show I would freak out), Sex On Fire is better on the record because they don't play it with any passion (who can blame them?) and Caleb's guitar part just doesn't come through with as much urgency.

Most of them, but in particular Trani, Milk, Closer, Black Thumbnail, Knocked Up, SNSL, BDS and Cold Desert.

I completely forgot about Trani. Like how could I forget that? It's my favorite KOL song. Trani live just does something to me deep down in my loins bones. The album version is awesome of course, but nothing compares to Trani live.

to me this is what makes them so great. almost every song is better live (only manhattan to me isn't). it proves they are great musicians and do not need too much production

The Immortals. It was my favorite out of all the new songs when they started playing them live, but I just can't get into the album version.

SLow Night, So Long / Back Down South / Milk / Black Thumbnail but no one compares to Trani, the best live music i know. I used to like very much Head to Toe some years ago, when the still play that song.
