I posted this over on the official site forum, but I wanted to get everyone's opinion over here too! What I want to know is when you listen to a KOL cd, what grouping of 3 or 4 songs just sends you over the moon? Not just any songs from any album, but ones that come all in a row. For me it's on ASH - SNSL, KOTR and then TJG. It gets me so pumped up to hear them one right after another! What about you guys?

I would have said the same as you Meaghan! But, just to be different, I'll say The Bucket, Soft then Razz.

I think i`m between Slow Night, So Long - King of The Rodeo - Taper Jean Girl and Happy Alone - Wasted Time - Joe`s Head and Trani.
The First one, get me pumped with SNSL and make me wanna do my own dance moves with KOTR and Taper Jean Girl.
The Other One gets me really pumped with Happy Alone, Wasted Time and Joe`s Head and makes me go crazy with Trani.

Trunk, Camaro & Arizona off of BOTT. Whenever I try to explain why, I get stuck on how to explain it, but it always has the words 'cinematic' & 'moody' in there.

I really like The Runner followed by Trunk, I kind of wish Arizona had followed on from there. Not cause Camaro is a bad song, but as Erin said they just have a certain feel about them. Although maybe it would have been too much, I don't know
*makes playlist to investigate*
yep, I'm listening to them again. Yay!

I straight up hate that song. The other three are just so beautiful together.

i really agree that trunk should've been followed by arizona instead, so i usually skip camaro to make that happen. it doesn't deserve to be on the album, imo. should've been a b-side instead. but i forgive kol, and bott is still one of my favorite albums of all time

I agree with you all. In my head, Arizona DOES come after Trunk b/c I NEVER listen to Camaro. I think I've said this before, but if it weren't for Camaro, BOTT would be a *perfect* album.

ASH: Milk, The Bucket, Soft, Razz, Day Old Blues. So that's pretty much half the album then

I really think Pyro> Mary is fantastic.
Pyro is epic apocolyptic agony and passion, then the opening bass in Mary just blares into punk doo wop bliss. the maturity> youth in that transition spans their whole career in the midst of a very short amount of time.

^That juxtaposition is interesting to think about vunderground.
I'm gonna say that beyond the obvious SNSL-KOTR-TJG-POF (it's the best 4 song stretch in rock n roll history--fight me), I really like Birthday-Mi Amigo-Pickup Truck. Mainly because I feel like that's what me and my friends listen to in the truck on the way back from the bars at night but there's just such an effortless feel to those songs--they're all irresistible. How can something sound so New York City yet so southern at the same time? I think that's what the best rock n' roll is about--balancing urban culture with rural/southern culture.
