I know we moan a lot they don't switch up enough, but I very much enjoyed Crawl as the opener, then Knocked Up to start the encore Just really glad they end on BT still. Always think it's such a good song to close with, unless SNSL is closing instead. I don't get why Revelry is still back though. And they've taken out Taper again but it was randomly in for Radio one. I can see why they'd keep Notion as it was a single but I don't think it's one of the better live songs. Kinda sucks no Fans or Milk too. I suppose it's only the first show so we'll see if anything changes!

I'll be honest, some of the setlist is kind of boring. I love all of the songs, but after you've been to more than one show you kind of wish they'd play other things. They could cut out some OBTN songs, but if that's what the majority of the crowd knows.. then I guess that's why they play them. I do hope to see Pony Up in that setlist sometime soon.

I completely agree with what everyone has said here. I thought I remembered hearing (Matt, maybe?) in a recent interview that they were gonna bring back some oldies. I know this was only the first show, but still.

I'm more or less just surprised on how short the show was. 20 songs, and even 21 with Manhattan, which they were supposed to play, is quite a short set. And I don't understand why they play Taper Jean Girl and Pickup Truck for Radio One if they are just gonna replace them with stuff like Notion and Revelry.

Hopefully we get to hear Pony Up, The Face, and Birthday soon. All of those have the potential to kick ass live.

WORD. I'm getting so excited to see them in Munich, but I'm dreading the very real possibility that I will be disappointed with the setlist. Let's hope they surprise us.

6 CAS songs and 8 OBTN songs? I thought this was the CAS tour now, not OBTN part LXXVI
Okay that's an over-exaggeration but still, I thought the release of a new album would let them move on, at least a little.

They are still releasing the new songs, so they are in a transiction moment. I hope we get 8 CAS songs/ 5 OBTN songs soon.

Could also be that for a big show like MSG, they just 'played it safe.' Let's see what they're gonna do setlist-wise when they come to Europe in a day or ten.

i'm hoping for 'king of the rodeo' and 'arizona' as my live favourites to come back to the setlist but i guess i should stay with watching shows from 2007 and keep on dreaming

Erin, that's what I was thinking. They know what kind of crowd MSG attracts; they know that in general people noticed them because of OBTN, so they aren't going to take off all of those songs and then have a dead crowd on their hands. I could tell that people were more into the newer songs, and I'm sure they had to know that would happen. Sucks for those of us who prefer the older songs, but oh well. I just hope they change it up soon. Cause if they go the whole tour with playing more OBTN songs than CAS songs, then something is seriously wrong.

I'd seen your post in the MSG thread and noticed we're on the same page, Alex. I do hope they'll start putting on more CAS songs than OBTN songs for the new tour. Not that I'm seeing them any time soon (just announce that Pinkpop date already, yes?), but it would be nice for everyone else seeing them.

I can't remember for the life of me. I'm sorry! Anyone else? Or am I just making this up based on wishful thinking?

I can't remember for the life of me. I'm sorry! Anyone else? Or am I just making this up based on wishful thinking? Yes, i remember Caleb saying that, before the start of the American tour. And they DID perform Wasted Time a couple of times, but that was the extend of it. And also they were performing Trani and Milk throughout the tour, so maybe that counted as "older stuff" as well.
