what the mystery gizmo on Matthew's mic stand? Go look at his pic on wikipedia and you'll see it. My only guess is that it's a mic for his epic triangle solo?

It is what he uses to get the feedback sound from his guitar that he uses in almost all of their songs.

Im a guitarist and i have no idea what itis! didnt think it had anything to do with feedback, when i seen them last in 2008 he had it on the floor next to his pedal board.

Haha. I promise. It is for feedback purposes. Different places such as different rooms, arenas, outside, etc. call for different placements of this 57 mic.

Actually it looks like it is just for his triangle. You can see it in any Arizona vid. Maybe he uses it for both reasons.
