Doesn't anyone wonder about this? They've cancelled two shows mere days before because of "scheduling conflicts"? I feel bad for anyone that was going.

I didn't even hear about this, when was it announced? Scheduling conflicts? Maybe it has something to so with the new album, I don't know what I even mean by that but it makes sense

Well I found out yesterday by checking Ticketmaster randomly. But the Black Keys posted on their Facebook that the shows were cancelled.

I and a few others have been thinking the same thing moose, about it having something to do with the album or rather with the release of Radioactive as that is aired on radio from the 8th so I'm told.
It sucks for the fans though, and if it is something to do with the album/single and the record company/management 'double-booked', so to speak, that's bloody ridiculous!

I dont see how it could be a scheduling conflict with the release of Radioactive. They can do press for that during the day if need be and for just the release of a single there isn't as much press as there will be for the actual album. They already did the video and any other things for the single (and album for that matter) could be worked around the tour because there aren't that many dates left.
It would have to conflict with something personally for them.
These are also two of the dates (if I remember correctly) that ticketmaster was offering a special deal on for tickets along with Birmingham and St Louis due to low ticket sales.

Yeah in my opinion it would have to be something pretty huge and absolutely inescapable in order to cancel two shows that have been planned for months and months. I know we can't go jumping to conclusions but I'm having a hard time imagining a totally legitimate excuse.

Low ticket sales are probably to blame. "Scheduling conflicts" is PR saving face. I'll end this optimistically by saying they could possibly be planning a more cohesive tour after the release of the record so they cancelled for that reason as well.
