Hey guys, i havent been on here properly in a long time but know this is the best place to ask my question! Im going to the hyde park show, and i really want to be front row, thats my favourite place to be at a KOL show obviously So i was wondering what sort of time should i get there to make sure this happens!? Im up for waiting however long it takes...i sat at glasto 2008 from 7am to make sure i was front row even though they came on at like 10pm! If anyone could give me an idea would be greatful! Thank you

Hey Louise, im Lucy *waves* Same goes for me, theres gunna be so many people there and I know I'll be gutted if I dont get right up front Have managed it at most shows but I dont know if this will be different as Hyde Park is obviously so massive. From what I can tell there seems to be only one or two entrance gates so hopefully queing early will give you a good chance. My friend and I are getting into London about 9ish and going straight to the gate then I think. Hopefully commitment and perseverance will win out in the end! If you want some reinforcements to come queue with though then let me know. Fingers crossed for us!

Hi lucy! Thanks so much for answering! Yeah i was thinking getting there around the same time, just didnt know if i should go ridiculously early or not! Hopefully we will get to the front fine, im just so excited! And im not the tallest of people so cant really see very much when im in the middle of a crowd! My boyfriend spent the whole time lifting me up at reading last year lol! So indeed fingers crossed for getting to the front! x

I was going to get barrier and planned to be there for about half 7 (as in am), but I can't handle the stress of that many people (I will literally die haha) but I reckon before 9am if you can. I'm sure you'd still make barrier a bit after but it's whether you want to be literally within first 10 people in I guess?

Had a look around Hyde Park today, it looks like there is only 1 gate (unless you have VIP tickets), peered through a crack in the fence and can't believe that 65000 people are all going to fit, its going to be a tight squeeze! If the weather stays like it was today its going to be hot, especially if you are planning on queueing to get in early. There is no shade! Its going to be a long day I hear that KOL don't start till 8ish.

You can probably get quite close without having to queue on your feet all day!

If you push your way through the sex on fire brigade you will get to the front. I was miles away until they came on then just forced my way, due to a huge love of the band. Crowd was awful yesterday. I was at the barrier and it seemed like the Kings were a support band for someone else.

I was there from about 11, got up right near the front when we were finally let in at 2:30 and stayed there ALL afternoon sitting on the hard ground in the hot sun "due to a huge love of the band"!!! Now call me a wimp, but a dampener was put on my night somewhat by various people (all of them larger than me as I'm only 5ft and 8 stone!) barging past me just before the boys came on and as a result me poor feet are bruised and battered today! Not sure what anyone means by the SOF brigade as I'm not sure there are many people out there in this current financial climate that would pay 53 quid to see a band when they only know and like one or two of their songs!!? However saying all that I/we had a brilliant time, loved every second of this brilliant band and yesterday will forever be in my memory. I got a few pics, a couple of which were smashers (considering I have a crap camera!) so thought I would share. Not entirely sure if I'm allowed to post them so if not feel free to take them off! Deedee that is definitely my new wallpaper! We got there about half 2, it was fairly empty towards the front and just walked right up and got about five rows from the barrier and stayed there the whole time! It was really lively at the front.. everyone singing every word.. really loved it! Really glad they were in a good mood unlike when they played Reading last year. Totally cannot wait for V now!! My friend managed to get a few good snaps... I don't think I will ever forget this gig... such a good setlist! p.s: what the hell has happened to Matt?!

The only thing that ruined it for me were the idiots in front of me who had been drinking all day in the hot sun. By the time KOL came on they were so drunk, picking fights with people, they started the bottle throwing! and then most of them ended up being carried over the barrier just as the boys started playing. What is the point of spending all that money on a ticket to not end up seeing the band. I was on Matts side fairly near the front next to the side barrier, so managed to get a good clear view of the stage. Apart from the drunks, the crowd atmosphere near me was good, we held our spot from 2.30 and really enjoyed all the other bands that played (am now a big Whigs fan) Lots of people pushed their way to the front at 8.30, but that was kinda expected. I'm pretty big and strong and did not give in to those who tried to get in front of me. Had a great time and even though they played for 1hr45min it was all over too soon.
