Actually there were 4 new songs played. I don't think there's a thread because most of us talk on Twitter; it was crazy last night and earlier today. There are vids of the new songs and pics here: closertocaleb.tumblr.com/

According to the setlist the opener from Saturday's show is called Radioactive. (pic by Sveni, iirc)

that radioactive song had a nice groove to it, the country song was awesome too but they were played back to back with the last new one... so maybe they changed it up a bit?

Caleb said before the song "I don't think anyone probably heard this but since were both from the south here it goes..." so I think it's an old cover... that country rock song is absolutly amazing btw, the one they opened with was great too... probably going to be called "water" or something cause that was in the lyrics a lot Caleb said "we're from the south...and we're really proud of it...they've (Whigs) never even heard the song but we asked them to come up so..." So I'm pretty sure it wasn't a cover...KOL don't really do that anyway...

^ Spin mentioned in an article that Southbound was an Allmann Brothers cover, but they only just have the same titles (and maybe one or two lines with the same words). A few people tweeted Spin about it & they've corrected it.

southbound is NOT a cover... caleb was actually saying before the song that the whigs had never heard the song before but they agreed to come up and play it with them
the allman brothers DO have a song called southbound but if morons like Spin Magazine bothered to look it up first they'd realize the lyrics aren't even similar to KOL's

michelle i'm kidnapping you and sneaking you into Roo! you can't not go to any shows this tour! sav i need to stop posting the exact same thing as you on here and twitter! i didn't even see your post earlier before i posted pretty much the same thing! exileon2ndst (sorry i dont know your name) my rage wasn't directed at you. sorry if it sounded that way. just PMS towards Spin magazine for actually printing that it was specifically a cover of an Allman Brothers song. It soooo stereotyping them with that southern rock lable. It only took me 2 minutes to google the Allman Brothers song and realize it was for sure not the same so why couldn't a reputable magazine do that? (i might never buy spin again based on that even though they delivered the caleb cake porn in january) so my rage from that carried over to anyone else saying it was a cover. my ovaries are giving you a karma to apologize (and i just realized your a dude so that probably grosses you out)

if the whigs dont play southbound with them in b-ham this september i might do something dramatic...
caleb should have had parker come help him sing to save his throat!
(and its good to see the little blue male sign under an avatar for once! we need A LOT more testosterone around here!)

it was funny cause i dont know if you seen any video from southbound at the borgata and im not sure if they played it with them the next night but parker kind of stayed in the back and over with jared but julian and tim were a little hesitant on matts side at first but by the end they were both wailing away "im goin' back down southbound!!!" it was truley a magicial night for me with both bands. i didnt think it would top MSg and on many levels its didnt because i was front and center rail for that BUT with the new songs and their collaboration made it special for entirely different reasons that i wasnt expecting... it like just all came together after first seeing them open for them at webster hall to the electric factory shows i seen them at and their (the whigs) first time ever playing the garden... it came full circle on a personal note for me sorry i babbled a bit but thats what it was for me with the whigs part of it.
