Thought I'd get this started.... any thoughts on what they'll play at the Grammys? What's everyone planning? Any parties? Me - just me and the BF on the couch. With plenty of snack food.  |

Today they talked about them on the radio and said that they were nominated but not performing..I know this because my mom called me just to say that

In the US they are touted on the commercials as performing. I don't know for sure but it seems like that's what they're getting at in the ads.
meh - now I think I'm wrong. Can't find anything about them performing on the net.

I dont think that they re performing simply cuz they have no new material. At least officially. And there is only so many (hundreds) of times they could perform USE at various awards. i do wonder if they might be presenters. Cuz i heard "with appearances by...." and they were mentioned. |

When is the awards ceremony? Is it Saturday in the US? (Tomorrow?? I HATE timezones...)

The only commercial I saw for it didn't mention them at all...hmmm? Well I'll have to tape it just in case, since I'll probably be at the hospital visiting my dad that night, and I am NOT missing them if they do anything at all!! Actually I think I'd rather see them present an award than perform, just because like Nik said, it would be overkill if they played US again!

They're definitely not performing, there's a youtube vid in the Interviews/Articles thread that says they're the only ones nominated for 'Record of the Year' that aren't performing (the others being Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Pears and Taylor Swift... (I was going to modify my post to make BEP more vegetably than fruity, but I like it better my way!  . Seriously, I'm not expecting them to win that one over the likes of the beloved Miss Swift, but if Fergie-Ferg takes that one, I'll need a punchbag.) |

Of course I would want them to win, even though I cant watch it I will be impatient to find out what happened but it seems funny to me that they are nominated for a song that if you believe what you read, they now cant stand due to an overdose of covers, lol (or at least Caleb).

Anyone knows if there's some website where we will be able to see live the red carpet and the show like last year? otherwise I will be pretty lost.. I don't know if it will ever be on tv here  |

im not surprised at all that they're not performing lol cuz it would mean Caleb would have to "shoot himself in the head" because of how much he hates hearing Use Somebody...and we dont want that

No, we really dont want him to "rip his throat out" or "shoot himself in the head". (Dramatic much?) Roberta--check this out www.grammy.com/they have "grammy live" tab. They might show part of the Red Carpet I know JustJared usually posts lots of pics as people arrive. Sometimes they have video too, but it's not streaming. try the E! channel too. I dont know if they broadcast it online, but i assume they do, at least parts. |
