Laundry Room is like my fave song. The whole build up, and then them going NUTS at the end. This is my favourite rendition. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDmvSO4fIPsI saw them at ACL earlier this year, and they packed a HUGE crowd although they were at a strange time slot, and they rocked the place! Even people who didnt know any of the words were singing along. It was one of the highlights of the festival. |

I saw them here in Toronto about a month ago and they were amazing! It was a pretty small club so I was close and they are strangely cute, cute ,cute!

i personally love "The Ballad of Love and Hate" ... i just think the lyrics are clever & its really beautiful i haven't seen them live yet  ... my brother has seen them a couple of times (i'm jealous!) |

NPR is actually National Public Radio, and they frequently invite musicians to perform right in the studio. I actually remember hearing that concert on the radio, and that's how i heard them 1st.
I remember a few years back, NPR interviewed KOL as well. It blew me away, that they would do that, since no one in the US gave KOL the time of day.

yeah, when i found out about KOL, my dad was like "oh i knew about them a while ago, they were on NPR" ... now i listen to it with him! The Avett Brothers are actually from around where i live ... so that's how i knew about them, my brother is a HUGE fan & he got me hooked |

I love KOL, NPR, and the Avetts...a win win win situation! I heard Andrew Bird first on NPR too, love him as well. As far as the Avetts go, they seem to be super cool guys...my niece has met them a couple of times and they were approachable and sweet...remembered her name the next time they came to town, and played extra songs for her when they were done just because she asked them to. Gotta love that!
