I can't stop listening to it Did anyone catch the live show on YouTube? They're putting it up in dribs & drabs to view now.... I'm holding out for Conversation 16! This is great - his nervous speech, screwed up timing... yet he still manages to be cool. sigh

Will be seeing them at a festival again in September. Not sure what to make of the new album. Bought it but not overly in love with it yet. Do ye all like it? I guess, for me personally anyway, Boxer will be so hard to top.

I do really really like it, but only in certain moods.... Like right now I'm (supposedly) studying and it's great for that. But with all the other albums I didn't feel like that - they're great for whenever I'd still LOVE to see them live, but I don't know if a festival would be the ideal place... Better than nothing though, have fun!

I love Boxer too... but I must be the only one that's in love with High Violet. I'm sure it'll die down eventually but I just think its beautiful Also, I bought The National & Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers & I'm not too sure what to make of them Especially the first one, it doesn't sound like them at all! Am I the only one with this opinion too?

The National is my favourite It's a grower though... (and I agree it doesn't really sound like them, it was actually recommended to me on the basis that it sounded like YAYM!) But Pay For Me is tied with Slow Show as my favourite song, by them or anyone else. And 29 Years is amazing Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers has never done wonders for me, there's a couple of good tracks but the rest are pretty average...

Massive amounts of virtual karma for those, Kim! I'd seen some but not all. I love that Amplified interview - they've got such a wierd working style!

Haha thanks Jess. Did you see poor Aaron's face in the second part of that documentary? when CYHSY didn't mention them on the radio show. I felt so sorry for him, he looked like he was about to cry. I've never wanted to give anyone a bear hug as much as i did at that moment. And i love in the Electric picnic interview, where Matt says the audience sometimes throws him off with the clapping. Then Aaron is like "Eh, no the audience is always with the band! You just get confused!". BTW are the Devendorfs twins as well or just brothers? My brother said he thought i told him a while back that they're just brothers. I have absolutely no recollection of that though! Maybe i did read it somewhere and have completely forgotten!

Conversation 16's on the radio right now and I swear, I keep hearing "I was afraid I'd eat your breasts" instead of brains..! Even now that I know what he really sings, I keep hearing it wrong. And this is my crappy pic from Lowlands, last August.

^Ha that's funny. I was just looking through the thread on their forum about misheard lyrics. Some of them are hilarious. But you can never really be sure what's right anyway because they never distribute them themselves. You've just got to go by everyone's interpretation of what Matt's saying. I know everyone's always unsure what Bryce and Aaron are shouting at the end of Secret Meeting. Some woman said she messaged Aaron on Myspace and he told her it was "I'm talking ace", but no matter how much i listen to that i can't really hear that lyric. Sometimes it seems to fit and other times it doesn't. Plus they do say something after that as well. It sounds like "Take an ace and fold it" or "Don't take an ace and fold it". I dunno..... Thanks for the photo. Aaron's looking very casual there!

Sorry for the double post but i just came across these brilliant videos and had to post them in case ye hadn't seen them yet. Sound quality is the best i've heard yet. ^I just adore the guitar sound on that song. It gives me shivers each time the song starts. So beautiful and understated, muffled, murky....just cool. Go Aaron and Bryce! Question: My brother was singing a different lyric to me for the end of England. I thought it was "Afraid of the house, stay the night with the sitter, afraid of the house stay the night with the sitter, afraid of the house cos they're desperate to entertain." He was saying "Afraid of the house say goodnight to the city..." But i don't think that'd make sense.... I hate not having lyrics in booklets!

Great videos! I really love Lemonworld. I heard different words again to that part of England. Thought it was "Afraid of the heights, say goodnight to the city." Does it make sense? No. Does that matter? Ehhh...

^Yeah those portrait things are strange! But funny. Can't wait for Aaron's one. And i looked up a few sites and most people seem to think he's saying "Stay the night with the sinners" ... I dunno, it always sounds different to me! Every video and version, ah well. And just had to post this. I have no words for it's beauty and emotion.

I know I probably say this about all their songs, but About Today is one of my favourites. So sad, so beautiful. This cracks me up, Scott's "portrait" "No, moonwalk, you're regular walking"

Runaway was played on an episode of Grey's Anatomy. It suited the scene pretty well.
