I make my own clothes, which takes up a good amount of time, but wanting decent machines has set me back a bit financially. And the fabrics aren't for free either, but going to the same store all the time has given me plenty of discounts.

i crochet! i make my own blankets and scarves and i'm even making a baby blanket for my best friend. yarn is pretty cheap so it won't break the bank! if you can find someone who knows how to do it to teach you it's best that way but there are videos online too!

I bake cakes and then eat them... It's really a win-win situation. Or... dance/yoga/pilates/ballroom etc. Specially if you go with a friend

I'm quite a big gaming geek. But you do have to fork out for stuff so you probably wouldn't want to get into that. Although if you get an epic game that will last for ages its not so bad

I make stuff when im bored! Like clothes, jewellery and my fav handbags! It can be quite expensive though expecially the sewing cause ya have to buy a machine and all the bits and pieces.
I also like to read, i get a great range of books from my local library! I love it cause it is free and books are so expensive to buy!!

I cook and I bake, and bring most of my baking to work, so I dont eat it all by myself. And i write, all the time. I also do weird stuff like pickling and making jam/jelly--because i think that it's important to remember how to do those things and pass them on.

~Horse riding. It fun and rewarding when you build a relationship with a horse and know that it's doing what you ask it because it likes you and because it wants to do it for you. Being around horses just relaxs me and it's good exercise.
~And i love reading and me and my sister play tennis whenever we can.
~I also want to start swimming again. It's great for your heart and all your muscles and is just fun too.

DIY around the house, it kills time and it's very rewarding and crochet and knitting, if you're into that sort of thing

I like to takes pictures and upload them for the world to see! Its great just capturing a memory in a photo so it can been seen in years to come! Unless you delete it by accident before then! You also don't need a professional camera it can be a digital one or even just your phone!
You can also enter photos in competitions to win money!

What about volunteering for a local charity - doesn't need to take up many hours - you can do as little or as much as you like. I did it for 6 weeks (couple of hours p/wk) and found it really rewarding - I think I got more out of it than the charity

Ah yea, volunteering is a good option too. I see an older man every week and we just chat and we read Harry Potter in English. And I also work as a volunteer for the local radio station.

Aah, jealous of all you people that can sew. I love coming up with ideas for making/customising clothes but it usually goes a bit wrong somewhere along the line and i get really frustrated I like to knit though (especially scarves - easy ) and DIY stuff is fun sometimes when it all goes to plan. What about some kind of evening class where you can learn something new? P.S. Does lurking on here count as a hobby? I think I do it far too much!
