Is it just me or are his family totally exploiting the situation? I felt awful watching his kid in tears on the news!

I was thinking that. You can now buy a copy of his death certificate for $12!!

i was watching footage of his daughter and she was having trouble talking and they just shove the microphone closer to her face and tell her to speak up. Really not the best situation for a grieving child!

^What??
It kind of looked like they made his daughter speak at his memorial service, which is a bit cruel. His other kids broke down once she finished.

^ it looked really forced and i just thought it was inappropriate. Especially after all MJ has done to keep the kids out of the spotlight!

I know, all the time he was living we never saw his kids (faces anyway) and now they are everywhere. They’re undoubtedly feeling very overwhelmed at the moment!

Now they have to live with the same people who were the reason he never had a childhood!
I think im getting too worked up over this, but it just pisses my off when kids are being used!!!

I don't think there was anything wrong with it. Just because they wanted to share an Icons funeral with the world doesn't mean they are exploiting the situation. Michael Jackson was/is loved by the whole world so why not share it with us?

i think its wrong to say the jackson family are expoiting his death and that they made that little girl speak, she clearly wanted to say something about her dads passing. indeed her first words were "i just wana say"
they didnt force the mic into her face, they simply tried to lower it for her, and give her words of encouragement when she struggled to hold back the tears.
to say the kids are being used is totall (for lack of a better word) bullshit.
that kid sat and watched while all her dads friends and familiy spoke about how much they loved and missed him. fair play to her for wanting to have her say.
and i thought the memorial was dignified and actually quite low key when compared to the rest of michaels life.

The world would be a very boring place if we all had the same opinion now wouldn't it and i certainly don't have the same opinion as you and others on this! And we are all entitled to have our opinion without being told our opinion is bullshit or wrong. I have reasons for my opinions as you most likely do too and I get that your entitled to your opinion and to express it as i am as well. I thought that it was a bad idea for his daughter to speak in front of all those people (millions of people) when she so distraught and also because MJ tried so hard in his life to keep his family private and to protect them. If she wanted to speak i think that it would have been better for her to speak at the private memorial for the people who actually knew her father. As for the Jacksons exploiting MJ's death, well his father was plugging his own ventures before MJ's body was even cold. What kind of a role model is that for MJ's kids. Finally i thought that the idea of having a public memorial for him was a good idea because he was loved and had a large public persona. I do find it hipecritical(sp?) though that people who before his death didn't even like his music, thought he was a child molestor or whatever are suddenly jumping on the bandwagon and going and buying his records and raving about what a saint he was. If your going to give a shit about someone then you best do it while they are alive cause once they are gone it is too late and no amount of record sales or praise or public memorials or news articles will change it! Anyway that is just my opinion on the situation.

i understand people, especially fans, are extremly sad about his death but it seriously annoys me that the first and most important topic on german news is michael jacksons death and if these kids are HIS kids and where he's gonna be burried and what not...hello??? as if the world wouldn't have other (way more important!!!) problems like iran election or G8 meeting. these things influence the worlds future way more than the death of (an obviously great) musician but a weirdo in private. thats all i wanted to say.

^^ i totally agree, its getting abit ridiculous. It annoys me that the papers and society in general is so two faced, couple of years ago they were all slagging him off, but now hes a saint!!
