they come in a really wide range of sizes, and i beleive theyre for scars etc...though if im right they started out as make up for the deceased.

On the dark circles under eyes thing...apparently 10 mins a day of rebounding on a trampoline expels waste from cells (incl this area) and improves skin tone and dark circles I have one, they're a great exercise and u can stick it in front of telly and bounce away while Home & Away is on or something

This isnt really a beauty question more a health one, i feel really tired and run down around 3 each day. I eat fresh veg and a (resonably) balanced diet. but someone mentioned iron tablets to me. does anyone use them?

I drink alot of tea. . and diet coke. which i spose both have caffiene in. And i dont drink either at work. Ive started drinking more water recently, but got told off at work cos i had to go to the loo so many times at work! Perhaps i should just stick to the old council pop for now

Oooh this is an excellent thread. I feel the need to contribute as a self confessed beauty junky!!!
I can't individually quote people and reply but someone asked for a good exfoliator and the best one I have ever used is Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream. You use it on dry skin, and can even use it over the lips. You only need a pea sized amount so it does last, and it isn't harsh. I have awkward skin and have never had any problems with it.
The best topcoat for nail varnish is Seche Vite. You can apply it almost instantly after your final coat of nail varnish, it won't budge the polish underneath and dries in 5 minutes.I have used it right before bed and woken up free of awful sheet marks! Plus it is so shiny.
I read that putting conditioner or conditioning treatments onto dry hair worked better, and that the benefits sank in and worked better on dry hair. I do it, and I think it works.
Lush is the best thing to happen to my bathroom ever. For the softest skin ever after a bath without even having to moisturise try putting a Butterball in the bath. Gorgeous.
The palest foundation I have ever found is Chanel Mat Lumiere in Faence. It's a god send for me.
Bastist Dry Shampoo is the shit.
And out of all the mascara's I have ever used, Benefits Badgal is my favourite, and I always revert back. Tried the Dior Backstage one and don't rate it tbh.
I can't remember who asked about pores but a quick fix is Clinique Pore Minimizer, rub it in to the areas you need before make up or alone, and it does seem to work!
Sorry for the essay :S

i have to take iron supplements because i m anemic. It definitely helps, but i dont know how much. I used to be so exhausted, I was just about falling all over the place, but once i started taking them, I function normally. I have to take the highest dosage though.

Two things I highly reccommend off the top of my head: Nic's Sticks for nail polish. It comes in such good colors, and despenes right into the brush! Catwalk Root Boost. You can get it t salons, and it is a bit pricey, but COMPLETELY worth every cent. It makes your hair's volume go from 1 to 100!
One more hair produce: Biosilk Silk Therapy. It is too worth every cent. It makes your hair unbelievably soft, and protects ends like mad.

I had to start iron supplements after drinking excessive caffeine over a couple of months period (I was giving up smoking). The doc told me the caffeine was leaching the iron (and other goodies) out of me. Prior to the supplements, I was exhausted just getting up off the couch to make a cuppa. I thought there was something terrible wrong with me. Turns out two litres of Pepsi Max every day is bad for a body.

Missus, TWO liters? WTF? I m not sure if you could have TOO much iron, I'd check it out before getting supplements to determine the dosage. Vitamin D is a must for every woman, for bone density and stuff like that. 1000mg minimum. Unless someone spends 5 hrs a day under the sun and drinks a gallon of milk, you are bound to have Vitamin D deficiency.

Soph, On the Iron thing, u can get really good ones over counter Ferrograd-C is best cause it has vit C included and that helps you absorb iron! Also its best to get in liquid form (or so Ive heard but u can ask pharmacist) as it is supposed to be absorbed more easily. From personal experience never EVER take on an empty stomach!!! Also, if ur really really tired over long period of time, get a blood test, i was like that years ago, turns out I had an underactive thyroid!! Cara, thanx for ur essay I must look out for that nail stuff, where do u get it?? Also, i completely agree on Lush tho its much more expensive here than in UK (robbin bastards). I love their shampoo bars, excellent for travelling. The purple one is my favourite.

Ha ha my post was quite epic looking back. The topcoat is available in Boots stores, and online. Although not on Boots.com which I find odd, cos both times I have bought it I have got it from a Boots store? It's kinda expensive but it is a big-ish bottle and I do think it is the shit. Anywho it looks like this

As long as you take it over the edge of the nail, if that makes sense? Like make sure you coat the tip edge, and use a good basecoat.
