Well today where I live we are having yet another winter storm. We've had record snowfall amounts this year. To make matters worse, it is going to get very cold in the next couple of days. Wednesday night it is expected to reach -22 degrees, with Thursday's HIGH temperature likely to only be -7 degrees. Brrrrr. It's times like these when I wish Nicole was here to warm me up. I thought maybe we could each post pictures and/or mention what the weather is like where we all live. If the mods think this is a BS thread, they can pull it, but I thought it may prove to be quite interesting. Here are a few photos I took 10 minutes ago. Good day.

It's not too difficult to survive this type of weather if you're prepared for it. You need to dress appropriately, plug in your car, keep your furnace maintained, etc. I like having the 4 seasons of the year. I don't think I'd prefer to live someplace where it was 70 degrees every day. You never know though. In two weeks I'll find out what it's like to be in Columbus. Should be fun. Gotta get back to work. Later.

^^^Those pics are amazing Brad. I like looking at the pictures but I hate it when it snows here, we had about an inch last week and that was too much for my liking. Today has been raining all day and on the way home from work my car read 7 degrees. p.s. I'm getting myself a hat!!!

My area looks pretty much like MBT's....and it's supposed to get really cold during the week too. Makes me wonder why I live here. Although, we did go sled riding yesterday and had a blast. I like the change of seasons too.....it's just that Jan-March is hard to take sometimes!!

Ugh. It's icy and snowy at some places, some of it is already melting so there's huge puddles everywhere. It's really cold and there are bouts of heavy rain combined with 20 mph winds I want spring already

We're getting a "storm" here tomorrow and Wednesday - but only about 3 inches of snow. We've got about 2 on the ground right now. It's like the tropics here compared to North Dakota - 28 degrees! Hang in there cupcake, erm, I mean, Brad.

Thanks for the kind words about my pictures, but they were really just quick snapshots, nothing I plan on saving. Today I woke up to -24 degrees. I hope my car starts. Good day everyone.

mbt I love your photos, though you say they are nothing special, the snow looks fantastic. We have had very little where I am so I am a bit envious. -24 degrees is something I can't really imagine.
Today we have that boring stratocumulus (sp?)cloud cover - it's very dull and grey, the only thing that could make it worse for me is if it were windy ( I don't like wind) It's supposed to rain today, I guess if it is raining on Ben and Lowri it will rain here soon. Where I live is thought of as a snowy place in winter, and is known for being cut off ( partly due to a lack of preparedness and lorries blocking roads) However in the last say 10 years the change in the winters is very marked. They are definitely milder. To have reached almost mid January and have had no snow worth sledging on is odd. We haven't had really deep snow, and potentially lethal icicles hanging from the roofs for years and the posts lining the roads over the moors to guide the snowploughs went some years back. Don't know if this appropriate for this thread, but it's something I think about.
