I thought I would start a thread about these amazing books.
They are going around work like wildfire and everyone of all ages who's read them has loved them. We're all getting together to go the cinema when the film is released.
What do you think of the cast choices? What did you think of Breaking Dawn? Do you prefer Edward or Jacob?

I started reading them on wednesday & I've just started Eclipse! It's safe to say I'm obsessed.
I don't think any of the cast are hot enough, (except Robert Pattinson) especially Alice and Rosalie.

I think they did a overall good job with the casting. Although I can't really understand why they choose a brunette for Rosalie, even with bleached hair she looks a bit... unnatural, if you know what I mean? I would've chose a natural blonde. I love love love Robert playing Edward, he's perfect. And Taylor Lautner being born -92 kinda bothers me hah. I know Jacob's younger than the other but still, feels like he's 12 years old. I LOVED Breaking Dawn. Love all the books, apparently, but yeh I loved it. The ending was perfect and I seriously start crying just thinking of the last line in the book, it's so beautiful. I don't wanna spoil for the ones who haven't read it so I'll just say I like Jacob's choice of imprinting EDWARD ALL THE WAY BABY. he dazzles me but I love Jacob too, he's such a sweetheart. I'm so glad he didn't end up being abandoned and heartbroken.

I found out something from a friend of mine today that happens in BD, (she's a little ahead of me) and it made me so mad. I don't want to mention what the thing was, in case people haven't read it. I've spent the whole week thinking about the books. I had to put Twilight down a few times, just so I could sit back and marvel over Edward's perfection.

I love the movie casting! Robert Pattinson is just so handsome. Although, I have to say the lady who is playing Rosalie is not the most beautiful person...like she's pretty but not beautiful. And the guy who plays Jake looks really young in comparison to everyone else.
I thought Breaking Dawn was really disappointing. It reminded me of fan faction, really. It's too perfect, there is no sacrifice, it's too much of a happy ending. etc. I'd give it a 5.5/10.
Hmm...I like them both.

I think I read the whole series within a week. First because I wanted to see what the hype was all about, I enjoyed the first three a lot, especially Eclipse. I fell in love with Edward and disliked Bella, though.
But I ended up quite dissapointed with Breaking Dawn. I expected a lot more, considering it was the last book of the series.
Regarding the cast, I think all the actors will do a good job, especially Robert Pattinson, he IS Edward. Kristen Stewart is very talented, but I really didn't expect Bella to be so pretty, I actually imagined her to be plain looking. Oh and the guy playing Jacob is just perfect for his role.

OHH these books are so good! they are written beautifully, with just enough plot twists to stay exciting, but not become ridiculous. in angus and robertson (a major australian book store) the 4 books are the top 4 best sellers atm. i chose edward, hes so gorgeous.. in my mind haha peps when are the other books coming out? with the story from edwards point of view?

I don't know actually annie Oh haha btw, did anyone else notice that the word 'scowl' is used like 585875 times in every chapter? There's so much scowling, shuddering and shrugging going on in that book.

Edward is the best I just finished New Moon and i can't wait for eclipse!! Jesus Lord I love them I cried so much with New moon best love story of all. I like the cast but...i thought Rosalie would be like a super model :S and Jasper's blond hair looks like a wig :/

I rather Jasper, hahahah,
well at first i hated all this "Twilight movement " but then when i read the 3 first books i realised i was on it, cos' they're so... addictive! I hope the film will be similar to the book... cos' if it happens the same as harry potter ( the films sometimes are crap if you comprare them with the books :S).
My problem is Breaking Down. have you read it? i didn't liked at all :S hideous. I expected another thing... not "THAT".
I like the cast of the film too, but rosalie should be like a model (as catvicius says) and Emmett! OH he should have curly hair isn't? :S The rest fits quite well in my opinion :S

I LOVE the first book, enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd... but the 4th? *shudders* Hated it. Still looking forward to the movie though. Even though I read that it's only like 90 minutes long.

I just started Twilight yesterday afternoon (my friend bought them all for me off Amazon and they arrived yesterday) and I'm half way through it. I'm trying really hard not to read anything about the books so I don't ruin them for me but I'm in love with Twilight so far. The 4th book is bad? Oh no...

I dindn't like it . The same as Cullen's house, have you seen it? is so "modern" I thought it would be modern bu not that way...

I just started Twilight on Tuesday, after my friend had been telling me to all last year, and then reading about how much some of you guys loved it, I finally got round to buying it and I absoloutly LOVE it. It's been so hard to put down! I've got all the other books ready and waiting and I can't wait to see the film.

Do read them, or at least read Twilight. Must say I'm a little disappointed in Breaking Dawn, the weirdest thing is happening and I'm not liking it one bit.

Really? Everyone I know loves BD the most. The first one is most about Edward which is why it is so nice. He's amazing.
