Caleb said at some point in the set " you guys are way better than Reading", though whether he really meant it or not is something else, as it is a sure fire way of getting the crowd on your side

I think he said "come on you guys must be better than Reading" again trying to get the crowd going. I think anyway.

fucking hell. Just got back from reading and had a few baths and showers . Kings were amazing. I was in front of the mixing desks behind where the giant penis hangs around. i don't remember much lol . I remember me and my friend being the only ones around us going mad. I got a few people to jump around with me which was cool. Four kicks was soo good . I Loved the huge shadow thing , it was basically all i could see when i was standing still. I remember someone asking their friend if Caleb was gay haha. Reading is fucking mad so much different to glasto. ok im going to sleep zzzZZZzzZZzZzZz

I just got home from Reading. I was right at the front, a little to the left and sometimes closer to the center (depending on the crowd). it was absolutely amazing, first time I saw KOL and it was the BEST day of my life. who cares about all the bruises and broken ribs, I saw Kings of Leon... it was fucking worth it! I was really looking forward to 'Trani' (love it), so I was kinda disappointed when they didn't play it. but still, they blew me away! I pretty much came 'all the way' from Norway, just to see kol. of course there was a lot of other bands I wanted to see, but if it hadn't been for kol I probably wouldn't have gone. so anyway, I know this is really stupid, but I hung out at the main stage for 9 hours, to make sure that I would get a good spot when they came on (even though that meant missing out on all the things I was planning to see on the other stages before kol). so I didn't get to eat or go to the toilet for 9 hours... lol. and when Roots Manuva came on, I was thinking: what on earth am I doing? (hip hop isn't really my thing.) but when kol came on, I had my good spot, so it was all worth it. when Nacho came on stage, I called for him and waved, and he waved back... so that made my day. haha.. if it hadn't been so crowded I would have been dancing my ass off, but I couldn't move. but I went absolutely mental with the singing, so you can all be glad you didn't stand next to me, cos I really can't sing... at all. the security people kept asking if I was ok, and if I wanted to get out... I was like, no way have I been standing here for 9 hours to get out when they finally come on! I do understand why they have to stand there, but still, it was annoying, cos they were blocking my view. (and getting their crotches in my face everytime they bent over to get some crowd surfers out, isn't exactly my idea of fun.) I got out of the crowd after kol, cos I was so tired after standing all day, and I REALLY had to go to the toilet. ( I also had a feeling that people would go absolutely crazy when Foo Fighters came on) hehe.. and when I got out I was soaking wet. oh, and today at the airport, when I was walking over to the toilet. guess who came towards me and walked right by me... no-one else than Dave Grohl, I was about to shit my pants! I could hardly breathe. my sister turned around and looked at me... and I was like, shit, that was Dave Grohl. after pulling ourselves together we went after him... but he was obviously in a hurry, he met up with two women, probably his wife and someone else, and they continued in the same speed to their gate. we didn't want to act like stalkers, so we just turned around and went back, cos we were so far behind them anyway. AND we had our own flight to catch, our gate was in the other direction from where they were going. cos, of course we weren't going to the US, but to the dump called Norway. if possible I love the Kings more than ever before. and since they never come to Norway, I'll definitely go to the UK next time they tour there. I didn't get to take any pictures, cos I was busy trying to stay alive... and I'm really sorry for going on and on about this, I'm just really excited. none of my friends understand, cos they don't care about kol or any other good music for that matter. saturday was the best day of my life, and I hope I will get to see them again... many times...

Caleb said at some point in the set " you guys are way better than Reading", though whether he really meant it or not is something else, as it is a sure fire way of getting the crowd on your side it might have a little to do with the disaster that was their show on july 6. people who attented that show might tell you more.

whey! just got back from reading (well, i did sleep for about a day but its pretty much the same thing!) the kings were great as usual...could've been a better atmosphere, but i was standing fairly far back with one friend who i had to drag out into the crowd with me because everyone else was tired or hungover from the night before! really enjoyed it though (think i got beer poured on me because i was dancing too much!) the whole weekend was amazing!

Aaaw Kaalet I'm glad you had fun & that it was worth the trip over to the UK Joe! Did you have loads of fun at reading?? Who else did you enjoy apart from Kings? Yeah reading was amazing for me! Its really different to glasto , like the arena is separated and all the stages are really close. Arctic Monkeys are like one of my favorite bands. IF you have read the NME review of them at reading it was fucking amazing . They haven't even released anything to buy in shops yet , and they have become really popular in like a month . There is a song called Scummy which everyone knew the words to . He played the first chord of scummy and everyone started to sing really loudly i think they were surprised at the amount of people who knew the words considering the only way you can hear the song is by like downloading it . so he didn't say anything and just let everyone sing and he played the next chord and everyone sung the next line and he wasn't saying anything just playing the chords to the first verse. then he stopped and everyone was silent and then hes like " If anyone has a bad word to say about the arctic monkeys , they can have some of that!" and then everyone went mental . (This is quite long and boring for me but it was really good if u were there). Death from above were fucking awesome i really like them now. The subways were amazing as well. I was talking with these hardcore fans who like knew everything about the subways which was weird they were going on about how they have been to millions of their gigs and stuff , well i don't remember much. I played rummy while watching The stooges which was fun. gotta see Iggy and the stooges purely because of the influence you would know if you've seen "End of the Century". I remember waking up in the tent on Friday morning at about 5 to hear some bloke shouting weird things like Ive just seen Simon cowel go into a tent with MJ . Kasabian were really really good . we were singing "ossshhhh ......" all the way back to then tent afterwards lol there were loads of other bands i went to see but i wont go on. If anyone goes next year i would recommend Debenhams 8 item breakfast if you can be bothered to walk into town . Its about £5 for 8 item with a drink . Prices onsite are absolutely stupid. god that must be boring to read. I should be able to remember more soon
