I was just watching biggest/best songs of the 90s the other night, and Smells Like Teen Spirit was voted #1. And i was like, really? what WAS so amazing that Nirvana did? And i lived through it, through its emergence and hype. The whole grunge movement, especially looking back, was nothing but a bunch of hipsters trying to look and act torn and angsty in the suburbs.
The Unplugged concert was prolly the best thing Nirvana ever did.

Thanks Lowri,i don't know why she is given the time of day,she is always banging on about the drugs i personally didn't think Hole were that *BIG*anyway,i don't think people will be that bothered about the *comeback and the CD will probably cost only a couple of quid in a month or so *save your couple of quid and buy a beer or some haribo i would choose the haribo as i don't like beer

I totally agree about Nirvana being overrated, along with bands mentioned in the past on this thread like The Beatles. I don't think they're bad bands, just that they don't live up to the hype in my opinion. Last night The Drums were on Jonathan Ross and I was not a fan. Maybe if I heard some other stuff I'd like it, but that little snippet was pretty off-putting. As for Glasvegas, I'm a bit of a them version of a Sex Somebody I went through the album, only liked the singles. Oh, and I've never been into The Cure either. I'm not interested in any of that stuff really.

In order to make up for the hurt I've caused him, plus the earlier hurt from Nik, I'll give him more than an Oreo

Hahaha thanks. Have one in return in advance. Oh and what's the big thing about Wolfmother? I don't hate them, but I don't understand why so many people are seeing them as the best thing since sliced bread.

I like Wolfmother, but I hold no illusions of them being musical geniuses. That's the way I feel about many of the bands mentioned in this thread. I don't hate all of them, neither do I love them the same way I love KoL, but I do listen to their stuff and enjoy it to an extent.

Hmmm...I'll reserve judgement on The Drums till I hear some more then. But don't hold your breath Oh, definitely agree on U2. Their music is dull and drony and Bono is a twat.

I am not a fan of anything by the Arctic Monkeys up untill Humbug(which, ironically, is the album everyone hates. I don't understand it).

Sorry Renee, it just isn't my sort of music. I don't hate it as such, but neither do I like it.

I have never really liked paramore, apart from their Twilight song, I have a friend who is a huge fan and his ex used to go to school with her, and he has met her a couple of times, so it was hard for me to say I didnt like them lol. I learned how to curb my views. no offence, but to me they were, still are, they typical american college rock band.
