Has anyone heard of this? Or maybe someone's even doing it? www.nanowrimo.org/It's this thing that goes on every year through November, people get together and the goal is to write a novel of 50,000 words before the month is over. It starts on midnight on the 1st, and by midnight on the 30th you're supposed to be done. You can write wherever you want, however you want, about anything, and then you update your profile with your word count so others can see how you're getting along. You can post drafts and pieces of what you've written so far, discuss your novel and help others in the forums, and there are meetings all over the world where you can get together with other NaNo's and talk about your novel and stuff. This is the first time for me, and I'm already a bit late to join since it's the 5th, but I just think it's such a great idea, and a real challenge for a procrastinator pro like me Just curious to see if anyone else is doing this, or maybe it could be an idea for some of you to join! Even if you don't actually get your 50,000 words by the 30th it's a good start, and as I said, a challenge and great pastime. If there are any fellow writers here, let's discuss characters and stories and writer's block hell here
