I just saw them last night -- and Holy Roller Novocaine blew my mind away. Black Thumbnail was fantastic, and Charmer, Red Morning Light too. MY GOD Sex on Fire was INSANE, everyone was going crazy and the entire stadium was singing along. The amount of energy was unbelievable.
basically I think they're mind blowing live.

sorry i didn't clarify what I meant -- I've seen them a few times, and I meant that Holy Roller Novocaine was great when I saw it. And the other list (charmer etc.) was last night.

yer played that years ago when i saw them in 2005, then they revived it for a bit i think in late 06...
Four Kicks is always crazy live, arizona is probably best though...ahhhhh when they played ragoo, nearly cried with joy.
Am yet to hear Cold Desert I bet that is quality live

Cold Desert is amaaaazing live. I nearly cried last night. Of course it was my first KOL concert, so I've no other show to compare it to.

I saw Holy Roller in 08, didn't realise at the time how rare it was and have been kicking myself ever since for not appreciating it enough! That and Camaro... But I'd say my all time fave live song would be Fans, Charmer or Knocked Up. Partly for the crowd response (as much as squillions of fans can be annoying, there's no doubt that an arena full of people singing is spine tingling) But Closer, Crawl and Revelry also sound incredible live. So many to choose from... EDIT: I forgot Black Thumbnail!! The first KoL song I ever heard live. Seriously, I listen to that and I still feel all squished and excited like I was then  Ooo ooh and SNSL. Mental song. |

and i only saw them perform Trani once at Coachella a couple years ago...but i remember that was epic for me.

What I want to know is..... what are THEIR faves to do live? Specifically, we know which ones they're not keen on anymore, SoF, Molly's etc. - but I want to know which one song have they NEVER got tired of playing....?

Knocked Up is deffo better live than recorded. I think it's the crowd interaction that makes it.
I don't like Cold Desert on the album but when I hear it live it just makes me cry every time.
Trani live is amazing too.
However, my all time favourite live one has to be Black Thumbnail. I swear everytime I hear it live I lose a little bit more of my sanity. It just makes me go crazy and I can't wait to hear it again in Nashville!

Black Thumbnail at Roskilde Festival was great! and SNSL at Oxygen... but i love Charmer live too, cause it's absolutely crazy!  |

The crowd really rocked out to TJG. I was surprised, but it really was wild. For me, until i hear Trani or Arizona or Happy Alone live, I dont think KOL experiences would be complete. Knocked Up was pretty memorable live. Black Thumbnail was fun to watch, when Caleb went nuts, kicked the mike too soon, forgot that there is still a verse to sing  It's a great closing number to a concert. |

I'm actually excited to hear Closer live and I know if I ever get to hear Arizona or True Love Way I will probably cry.
Cold Desert will probably make me tear up a little too.
