A quick recap of last night--the concert was great, minus that Caleb was clearly sick: runny nose, voice sort of going in and out a few times, and generally looking like crap. So kudos to him for going out there and giving his all, considering how he was feeling. *One more reason to dislike Glasvegas--Caleb said that it was Glasvegas that got KOL sick, and then skipped town.* The Whigs were pretty good, no complaints. They performed a tight set and did a good job. Set List (not in perfect order) Crawl Charmer TJG King of the Rodeo Fans I Want You Revelry Be Somebody Four Kicks SOF The Bucket Molly's Chambers Notion On Call Manhattan Cold Desert Trani Closer Knocked Up Use Somebody Black Thumbnail The crowd was pretty good, and people knew a lot of songs, except for Trani! So only some people were belting out along with Caleb. Generally, older stuff got really good reception from what i could see. People went mental for Four Kicks, TJG and there was a lot of singing along to King of the Rodeo, On Call and The Bucket. Knocked Up was pretty powerful, because Caleb asked everyone to help him out, since his voice was going and people really got into the "Wawawawa" . He was smiling, since it got fairly loud, and he was coaxing singing from everyone in the venue. He was appreciative of the crowd, saying that KOL have the best fans in the world, and that he has the best job, because no matter how crap he felt when he woke up, it was amazing to come to the venue and see all the people who were here for him. At one point, Nacho came with a drink, and Caleb stood by the drums and was blowing his nose, and motioned to Nacho to stay away from him--which I thought was really sort of nice of him. Matt was really good and Jared delivered some class bass faces. I think everyone was staying a little bit away from Caleb, so there was no back-to-back Matt/Caleb playing, but Matt was very smiley and got into it and did a lot of waving to the crowd. Nathan was the awesome Nathan, as usual and there was quite a lot of chitchatting going on between him and Caleb. In general they are definitely getting tired, and at one point Caleb said--we have 14 shows left, and after that we can do whatever the hell we want! Clearly, they are counting the days when they can go and get some rest. Dont know how others felt, but i totally appreciated their dedication, even this late in the game. Sorry for the long post. Will post pix later.

I agree with Nik on everything! Caleb was fabulous despite being sick. He danced a lot more for this show than he did in Indy the night before but both times he was really smiley and I wanted to die! Me and Nik and my friend were the only ones around singing Trani but the crowd behind us and in the seats were up on their feet the whole time, so no fuck you's were delivered from Caleb. All the boys looked amazing despite illness and Matt's dimples came out in full force when they came back on for the encore. He waved to the crowd a whole lot and made eye contact with the front row in particular and waved directly at us. Jared played by his mic a lot more than what I've seen him do but I wasnt really ever paying attention to him. They played the exact same set as they did in Indy but they still rocked it out! And I got to meet two people from HA so that was great!

Another solid show from KOL, although the same set as the night before in Indy. The Bradley Center was only half full. I stood by the soundboard and there was nobody behind me. A much different scene from the previous night's massive crowd! During one of his speeches, Caleb said next tour they'd sell this place out. I arrived in time to see The Whigs. It was nice to hear them play some songs that will be on their upcoming album. They ROCK! KOL played the majority of OBTN, including I Want You. I'd rather hear more of AHA and YAYM b/c my faves come from those albums, but I can't complain. They closed w/Black Thumbnail and gave the crowd everthing they had! Awesome way to end. After driving to Indy on Friday and Milwaukee on Saturday for these shows, I need rest!

I have never seen Caleb so giggly and smiley (in person)! It was reaaallly great that they played through being sick and put on an awesome show. My friend's only complaint was that Jared didn't rock out hard enough and was too busy fixing his hair... buuuut being an avid jizzler myself, I have to disagree and personally saw many smiles, bass faces, and a lot of head-banging from the kid.
p.s. they were all gorgeous. caleb dancing=me melting. i may turn into a 50/50 jizzler/caleb-holic... yowza.

Good lord it was such a great show... really really truly great. They rocked my face off. Caleb was so gracious and in a great mood even though he was sick.
I have to say that after this show, Trani is officially my favorite song. Black Thumbnail was a highlight.. Cold Desert was riveting. The crowd was excellent - the accoustics were AMAZING (I had my doubts esp. since it was only half full) but a PERFECT show.

I am getting so sick of these stupid reviews by hack writers who don't know what they're talking about..."The coolest thing the Followills did was smoke cigarettes onstage." How many of them smoke onstage now? (Unless you count Nathan and his "herbal" smokes) I had to write a comment...feel free to join me ("Ms. K"), anyone who was actually there (I was only going by your reviews)! milwaukee.decider.com/articles/kings-of-leon-at-the-bradley-center,33391/

Really? Was that person even THERE? I am so so tired of everyone comparing them to U2. UGh.
I posted (Gwen).

I posted. Really getting tired of the U2 comparing and "Caleb didnt rip his shirt off and didnt prance around on stage". It has NOTHING to do with how good the show was.
