cant remember when, i think it was 2003, MTV LatinAmerica was playing Red Morning Light A LOT here in Mexico, at the moment i just thought "they sound pretty much like the strokes"
so a couple of days after i went to a record store and i was just looking, accidentally found the album and ended up buying it even though i only knew one song, i was afraid of being disappointed/angry of spending my money without listening to more songs haha
then in 2005 i bought the second album and liked it too, i really didnt listen to them very often but still like the band, so it was until BOTT (specifically because of Fans) that i became a huge KOL fan

First heard them in 2003, my sister had their album and I wasn’t too keen to be honest. Liked a few off ASH but it was BOTT that made me fall in love, now I love pretty much everything they’ve done Biggest regret is not going to see them with my sis in 2005, I cat-sat for her instead! DOH!!!

Okay, I guess I can call myself a 'Somebody' fan. I was watching Saturday Night Live on September 20, 2008. That exatct moment I saw Caleb, I was stuck. He had stolen my heart, no joke. It was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen in my life, including Caleb.

For me it was the summer of 2005 and I was 14. The Pixies were playing Bud Rising (a one day festival-ish concert) in Lansdowne Road, a football stadium two streets from my house. I didn't have tickets so I sat out on my window ledge to wait for the Pixies, thankfully early enough to get to listen to the AMAZING support band, the Kings. California Waiting nearly made me fall off the ledge. No internet in the house meant for ages I didn't know who I'd heard until for my 15th birthday my best friend bought me YAYM. I can still remember playing it and thinking I'm not even sure he's speaking english but the melodies are unreal. Then I reached Cali and I knew who I was listening to. I made my little sister who was nine at the time sit and listen to it and then pick her favourite song - she picked Trani - Proudest.Moment.Ever!!

I used to have a radio show called Mix Tape on a community station, with my friends. One of my friends played Milk, and I was like "wtf is this?" (in a good way). I thought Caleb's voice sounded so different than anything I'd heard before, and loved it immediately. But she was the elite type of music lover, and I always felt like she was going to quiz me or something, so I kind of shyed away from it. I can't explain that, I know it sounds ridiculous to not seek out good music for fear of being cornered by an elitist music bitch. In any case, the friendships kind of faltered, and one day I remembered KOL and bought Youth and Young Manhood. =) I've been in love ever since.

My friend gave me a ton of new music, this was maybe two years ago, and it included Aha Shake and a couple songs off of Because of the Times. I was listening to my iPod on shuffle and Rememo came on, I loved the slow, smooth sexy vibe of it, and have been hooked ever since. I have every song, album, b-side, rarity, you name it... and I love them so much. I don't know what I'd do without them, they've made such an impact on my life in the past years. Here's to KOL (:

I have been to KOL concerts more than one time but this one in 2005 with my friends around was certainly the greatest day of my life.
