I'm not sure this has been done before or if it will get more attenion but... If you could choose the setlist for KoL, what would you put on it? I was just wondering cause I sometimes disagree about what the guys play and don't play. So fire away

Good idea for a thread!
I'd have to pick (in order) (and I've gone for the 20ish songs long version, its too hard to narrow it down...)
1) Black Thumbnail 2) Closer 3) Red Morning Light 4) Soft 5) Milk 6) Arizona 7) True Love Way 8) California Waiting 9) The Bucket 10) Sex on Fire (don't kill me!) 11) Four Kicks 12) Dusty 13) Genius 14) My Third House 15) Ragoo 16) Wicker Chair 17) Cold Desert 18) Trani encore: 19) Knocked Up 20) Charmer 21) McFearless 22) Slow Night, So Long (I know that's pretty much the encores they do now, but it works really well)
Dammit, now I really really want to be at this imaginary show! *makes playlist on iTunes and dreams*

I've just realised I forgot HA from mine!!! When I first started writing I was like "Happy alone, start of encore" but then forgot. They'll have to do a whole separate show just to play that one. Sigh. How terrible.

Actually, any set list without SOF would be awesome Maybe turf Use Somebody out too. If only dreams came true

^^^ Nah, I'd still get rid of the songs. Too much radio exposure turned me off, as it does with any song/band. I'd rather SOF than Use Somebody but I'd be thrilled if I never had to hear either of them live again!

Nope, would have to keep Use Somebody. Definitely been beyond overplayed but somehow it still grabs me. SoF can go though.
Would love to see them pop in the odd B side. They surely know we take them as an integral part of the catalogue by now, so I don't see why they can't treat us every now and again, if they can do it with a brand newbie like Devil Song, they can surely do it with an established tune...

Yea, I could definitely do without Use Somebody, I turn the radio off when it comes on now . Its wierd though, I've heard SOF so many times on TV/radio/clubs etc and it's the only one of their singles that I haven't got sick of. Its got to the point where I almost want to be sick of it, but I just can't! But I do agree about Wicker Chair, if they played that live I would probably implode with joy. What a way to go...

^^^ It's not the worst song ever and I have other KOL songs I dislike more (17 to name but one) but it's just annoying that it's everywhere you turn. I go for lunch it's on in the cafe, I wake up it's on the radio, it's on TV, it's everybody's ring tone ....... I'm not getting at SOF solely, over exposure has ruined soooooooo many song for me I was a massive Razorlight fan but the over exposure of their second album bored me to tears!

That's exactly how I am with Use Somebody!! It seems to me that US has actually been bigger over here than SOF, it didn't have the immediate no.1 appeal but it JUST DOESN'T GO AWAY! Although I admit that live it was pretty cool. Who am I kidding, they could come on stage, sing half of 'I'm a little teapot' then leave and I'd be happy...

Use Somebody was massive here in Ireland too but didn't come close to the success of SOF. I just don't like US because it lovey/dovey and shit. It's not at all what I expected from KOL, kinda cheesy and a cheesy video to boot. I preferred songs about erectial disfunction and dirty advantage taking preachers Maybe that says something about me

No I totally get what you mean, I read a review that described it as a bit Kelly Clarkson, which was a bit harsh but true... I think it would have been OK if they hadn't followed it up with Revelry though, I think that made heaps of people just identify them with cheesy stuff. Emotion is good, and in most cases they know how to write a love song (True Love Way) and an 'emotional pain' (for lack of a better phrase) song (like Wicker Chair / the Runner) without it being to cringey... I do love their crass/dirtier songs, but they seem to be of the Aha era, it would be a bit odd to start doing that again. I think that's why I love BOTT so much, it's got bits of deep and meaningful and bits of 'I'm visiting a prostitute' all together.

Yes but Nate said the next album will be like ASH's big brother so I have very high hopes that normal KOL service will be resumed

I've witnessed my dream setlist. Brighton last year, the only way they could ever top that would be to play something off BOTT that's not played anymore or Where Nobody Knows.
