So the totally reliable and on to it site that is Wikipedia has this to say about a song that was supposed to go on the HRN EP: "Another track called 'Absent', rumoured to be about singer Caleb's childhood sweetheart Marnie Jensen was discarded prior to release."
I was just wondering if anybody had any more information about this / knows if its actually true? There's no citation (gotta love Wiki...) but that sentence has been there for a while so I assume there's something to it. But yea, has it ever been mentioned in any interviews or anything?
Gah, I hate the idea that there are songs out there, written by them, that I won't ever hear!! (unless... *forms evil plan involving petitions and Twitter*)

Never trust the enigma that is Wikipedia!!
I do love the random ‘facts’ that appear on there at times.

Yea, I did think it was wierd that they had a specific name for the girl, they've never done that... But usually the made up 'facts' (band break-ups, that gymnastics thing) get deleted really quickly, and this has been there for weeks (I think. Not that I check them on wiki a lot or anything )

Yeah wikipedia is full of shite, do you remember when someone wrote on it that Caleb was an acrobat or something, and that Jared was going to star in New Moon as a La push citizen? I pissed myself laughing at it. It got removed after a few hours though

Yeah I just wished I'd screencapped it The next time something comes up I will! And I agree with Sarah, she must just be some random fan who decided to put her name in it. But Elly, where in that NME mag does it say?

Last time I was on their wikipedia page last week somebody had wrote "they are particularly fond of Ireland and spend time with their best friends Ann, Joe and Steve whenever they are here." So I deleted it, some best friends will be upset.

You've got to wonder what kind of people just go onto wiki and make up random facts... My friend just sent me one that is now gone (she's getting into kol- yay!) that casually listed their influences as "Townes Van Zandt, The Strokes, Madonna and Pearl Jam" or something to that effect... Spot the odd one out? Maybe someone has a leotard fettish...?

^^ heehee! According to that NME special Caleb also wrote a song called Fuck You about Nathan. And I just noticed out they all have their own pages now (last time I checked only Jared and Matt had one) and Matt's was updated with a link to Johanna's page. It says she was the singer in a band called Totalizer! Now I do't want to get into her business or anything, but I wonder if that's true!.....

I thought the 'go fuck yourself' thing was a joke...? They do? Last time I checked Caleb and Jared had one each, it was only like a sentence though, and Nathans just linked you back to the band. Matts name wasnt even a link SHUN! (And didn't J write songs for the Artic Monkeys? That's like the only thing I know about her, except that she's very funny on Twitter haha)
