I'd pick Trunk and have it start off with images of the guys tied (ankles & arms behind their back) & gagged (no ductape, gotta be able to see their mouths still) in the trunk of a car (each in a seperate car) and you can see them struggle to free themselves. Next shots would be how they got in there; Caleb got snatched from playing guitar at the porch of the farm, Nathan ran straight into his kidnappers' arm from being chased by the bull on the farmland, Jared was picked up while he was cheering for his favourite team and Matt was either dragged from his bed (cos he looks so cute when he just wakes up) or while he was doing some maintenance on his motors and is covered in oil & grease. The cars will be driving over sandy roads that leave a cloud of dust, while the sun is scorching, so the boys get all sweaty in those trunks. Maybe have their girlfriends driving the cars. During the 'wooohooo' parts there'll be shots of the band playing at a stage in the desert at night, which is also the place the cars are driving to, and have huge bonfires around the place. Their songs are just great for desert scenes. well it would make a change from them doing all their saddo group hugs/high fives/crying into the camera that have featured so heavily in their last few vids . I reckon the kidnappers should be crazed fans from this forum, who actually shoot their girlfriends in the vid.

black thumbnail keeps playing in my head... the video would take place on a sunny summer day in the 1960s but KOL maintain their modern look...I see them all jumping into a cool old school van (like the one in little miss sunshine, but maybe in blue). And it's all packed up with their gear (an amp, their guitars, and a megaphone for caleb) The van travels in slow motion on a dirt road, and then tons of really artsy close ups of the boys! Then right before the chorus hits, they are pulled over in some random sleepy town, unload their crap, and rock it out!!! a huge gust of wind blows at the band, and through the crowd causing a stir. All the extras are like...WTF!! , but the boys don't care, they are just doing their thing. then as soon as the chorus cuts they jam back into the van and head to the next location! and of course random tumbleweeds show up at random times...just rolling through shots

I'd a new video of On Call in a heartbeat, just because I think the current video is really bad. Sorry but Caleb just looks like a drowned vampire girl/Ozzy Osbourne. To make him look that ugly and weird must have been a hard hard task!! I mean the lighting, the backround, the styling.... makes me cringe.

Thats a hard Question.
I think i'd make either closer or cold dessert Cause both songs have strong emotion to them So i'd make a video for them full of meaning.
Possibly like a story kind of video maybe.

^^^Yeah I think that cold desert could be a really great music video too. I could totally see a story unfold for that one!
I keep playing crawl and I've been getting my visual juices flowing. I see them playing in a cement looking warehouse. And I see some shots of the boys walking on this runway/water fountain sort of thing...so it appears that they are walking on water...and there is a green screen in the background showing beautiful nature shots. Then intercut the performance with biblical references shot in this cement building...like a sole burning bush, and a zillion frogs hopping around, and then at one point Caleb raises his arms like he's Jesus. Then the band is surrounded by walls of water, like the parting of the red sea...
I don't know might be lame, but that's what I keep seeing in my head.

^^ i like the way you think! so, i've had this image in my head for the longest time! the video for Happy Alone would start off with a group of adolescents that have just met. They're from all over the place, but they have one thing in common, theyre bored of their lives. So, theyre at a bar chatting away and then KOL comes on stage (looking like they did in YAYM) and start singing. The group of new friends get up and they start dancing, just having fun. The scene changes as theyre getting out of the city heading to who knows where, just being their crazy selves, "all wrapped up in being 19". haha. All the while, the Kings are sort of narrating their story about these kids. Then in the slow part of the song, the time comes when they realize they have to go back home so they hop on different trains. The song comes back full blast and the group realizes that theres nothing theyd rather do than just have fun with their friends. so, they run out of their trains and meet up with each other and drive off into the sunrise just as the song end. haha cheesy? maybe!

I really like this topic I'd do Soft. Whenever I listen to this song I imagine a beautiful girl in a white silk dress dancing to the rhythm around the guys with flowers in her hair trying to seduce them

Beneath the Surface
Intro: Open on Kings of Leon in a dark dank room with minimal furniture. The boys are tuning their instruments. Pan around the room more to discover a beaten up sofa, an old school ice box, and a tool bench. Caleb clears his throat, Matthew plays a riff, and Nathan firmly starts a beat. Jared fiddles with his bass cab, when Caleb gives him a nod. Jared proceeds to the nearest wall where he lifts an old school power switch, like in Frankenstein. An arc of electricity sparks. A flash of white light fills the room.
Cue the music.
We pan down from the power switch to reveal a massive black chord that makes its way out of the room. Wide shot to reveal that the boys are in a Garage and the garage door is open. Their music fills the suburban streets as we follow the black chord, which has multiplied and traveled into the street and into the street lamps and inside homes. As the boys play the lights in the street and in the homes mimick the sounds of the song, fluxuating like sound levels displayed on a stereo. Peaking at the lamp post, and low in the neighbor's upstairs window.
As we get to the chorus the lights flash without synchronization or reason.
Intertwined with the light show are close ups of the band. Matthew mouthing along to his guitair. Jared's bass face. Caleb singing and wiping the sweat from his brow. Nathan ferociously pounding at his drum set.
As the song grows with the lead guitar, we follow the chords farther and faster into the night to find their way into a an office building. The florescent lights take their cues and continue to sync up with the song. from the exterior of the building the camera elevates and ends on the boys playing on the roof! Wind blowing in their amazing hair.
End up back to the boys in the garage. The lights cut out to blackness.
