30 minutes to walk to the venue?
The hotel also has a shuttle that runs downtown and to the airport.

Okay guys, I've been looking at a few hotels now. courtyard nashville downtown 2 adults(152/night), renaissance nashville hotel 2 adults (151/night) and millenium 1 adult(100/night). i've got AAA and i think my dad has marriot rewards, which would help w/courtyard and renaissance. if he lets me use them. i haven't even told him about it, not sure if my mother has either. anyway those first two are within 2 blocks from the sommett center. as much as i like convenience and will probably be obsessive about being next to the center, i wouldn't mind staying at a hotel with other people further away. i'm a little worked up at the moment so i'm just typing as thoughts come to me, sorry they're not organized. oh and also since i started this thread (just remembered this fact) i can edit my post to include a definite list and maybe list and the hotels booked and the hotels being looked at. so let me know those details and i'll edit it to be more organized. also, i'm a freak about having my car with me at all times, i hate relying on people for rides places, since i'm obsessive about getting places early and leaving when i want to (god i sound neurotic in this post) but yeah, point is, i'm driving to nashville and will have my car (2-door seats 4, 5 if there's someone the size of cokedup caleb) i shouldn't drive wasted so not sure if driving to bars would work, but there's always cabs. I'm like you, i prefer to have someone's vehicle so we can come and go for free whenever we want and not be stranded anywhere! I'm about the size of a coked up Caleb and I dont mind squeezing myself into small spaces!  We will have ample options, I think, Michelle will be meeting up with us, and our hotel (the Millenium Maxwell House) has free shuttles to and from just about everywhere. I think we'll definately have no problem getting around!  OMG I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS!!!! |

Cool, way to go Shelly! Awesome. MTV Hotel is becoming a reality! Let's trash the place and throw TVs out the window a la Led Zeppelin! No? Ok, we'll be polite and all, like Kings of Leon. Sarah, this hotel we are staying at is within walking distance of the venue. It was one the requirements on our list. We are undecided about getting a car. If we will, it'd be to go visit the 75 acre farm in rural TN.  OMG are there two Millenium Maxwell House Hotels?!!? Because the one I got is nowhere within walking distance, I'm looking on Google maps right now and it says it's 2 1/2 miles from downtown (i counted about 20 blocks) and it's on a major highway so it wouldn't be like walking through the city. |

Ok so it is the same hotel LOL yeah i dont want to walk 30 minutes, especially after standing and dancing all night. The hotel has a shuttle and we'll have a few people with cars there. I think we'll be fine! |

People, you all need to shape up!!!!  30 min isnt really that long of a walk! If all else fails, we can cab it to the concert. It's 2 miles. Like $5 for the whole ride! |

OMG I'm watching this show where this comedian is going around Nashville showing us places! He went into a bar called Gold Rush and then this adult bookstore/sex toy store called Madame X Adult Bookstore, they have more sex toys than I've ever seen! We have to find this place! Aww now he's talking to all the drunk people out at 4 am on the streets of Nashville, everyone looks so friendly and happy! |

Maybe heavy beards make you extra angry, so it might be useful if we want to get up front. It's like a shot of testastorone. Caleb's been all pissy lately, so maybe that's what we need--at least FAKE beards! Besides, people will just let up go up front out of fear! bahahahah
