I was thinking about going to this......but it is a hell of alot of money, but i worked it out and if i saved i could afford it....but saving is so hard  but i guess it could be worth it tho...since iv never travelled over seas before....but living in new zealand is it worth going all the way over there tho? mmmmhhhh im going to think about it...... |

Ok anyone considering Nashville; I have been researching for the last 2 hours for cheap hotels as close to Sommet Center as possible. The news is very grim. The closest hotel is a Hilton which was about $250 a night for a double bed. There were a few that were a block or two away, some were around $180 and some were over $200,some didnt even have any double bed rooms left! One is about 4 blocks away and is $150 a night. For people really needing to go cheap, there is one about 15 blocks away that has ONE ROOM LEFT (double beds) for $89! I wanted that one but I want to be able to walk to the show. Unless somebody would be willing to drive us, but that would involve a few trips to get everyone LOL
It's crazy how expensive these hotels are and how fast they're booking up, I dont even know anyone who has even picked a hotel yet! Maybe Nashville is just always busy all the time.

I m sure they have plenty of hotels in the city. If all else fails, we can all cab it to the venue from one central location.
How expensive can it be anyway? IF there are 4 people in a cab?

Oh yes of course there are more hotels in the city, I just checked the 6 or 7 that were closest to Sommet Center in case anyone couldn't afford a taxi. I have only been in a taxi once and it was like $50 to go about 10 miles or so, but with more people it would be cheap! I'm going with Eden and possibly Teagan so we'll have an opening for at least one other person to stay in our hotel room. We'll all have to keep each other posted on which hotels we are getting. It would be nice to all get the same one so we could hang out there before and after the show! And maybe the hotel would have a shuttle bus we could take for free to the show! We're also gonna be staying Saturday night too so we have an extra day to recooperate, recover, relax, sightsee, stalk the band,  or whatever else we feel like! |

I can definitely look into it, but i need semi-concrete numbers of people who need accommodations/transportation.

I agree, cheap is better because flight prices there are averaging at least $340  Saturday after we all get our tickets we'll have to post like maniacs and figure out the best place to stay! OMG I want Saturday to get here NOW!! I want it to be Saturday tomorrow and then I want it to be October 15th the next day! We're gonna be there from Thursday-Sunday, we haven't bought our plane tickets yet but we wanted to have a full day after the show to do stuff too! |
