Sorry been asleep most of the afternoon, yeah a few months back we was asked if myself and the other mod wanted to meet the guys, as a thanks for modding the forum, mainpage and chatroom.. we got to spend about 30/40 mins all in all with him i'll bring my posts over from the o/s

yes myself and julie were in the vip section, we were amongst mark ronson, natalie imbruglia and lily and family, and johanna and alissa...

had lily in my eyeline the whole show and i have to say she was really going for it dancing and singing along.

i couldnt believe we got trani, i nearly crapped myself when i realised, and quickly phoned marg. yes the gasmask thing, it was a video on the screen, and it was this repeatative video of some dude looking at the camera wearing a gasmask.. weird but true. there was these people moving all around him... caleb missed a few words out of it, then looked at matt and started to laugh!!!!


sex on fire, the place went NUTS. friggin mental.

calebs beard was insane. its very thick and extrememly sexy.

okay so afterwards, we waited around with lily etc to be told where to go for the aftershow party, we were kindly allowed to go and its been knightmare keeping this a secret from you all....then went into this weird room, where i had problems with a stool, ended up nicking lilys seat when she left cos that stool and me didnt get along very well.

around 1am-ish, we got a nod and in walked jared. we was introduced and we shook his hand, we told him what job we do here, we talked about what we deal with, i explained that we've built a nice community here, and that we're all friends and even going to shows together, we spoke about debs, and explained that we're going to wear yellow on the 30th just for her. which jared thought was cool, he sends his wishes to debs. we spoke about the site, does he come on here, we spoke about their my space private pics which led to twitter convo.
we spoke about why it doesnt bother him that kol are referred to as "selling out" cos of obtn, we also spoke about why he turns his back to the crowd, he went into great detail about that, he explained that the sound of the bass sounds different to him when hes facing it, and the whole time he wants the music to be heard as best as possible, he explained that hes not being rude but merely trying to play the best he can, that hes connecting with the sound from the amp, he explained that as far as hes concerned people shouldnt come just to see his face, he said "theres 3 other good looking people in the band, look at them!" basically (i hope i'm explaining this properly) he wants the music to be best he can do, everything else is insufficent.
nacho walked in, and we congratulated him on becoming a dad, he was walking around with a huge smile on his face. theres more to it but in fairness i dont know how much of that i should write. needless to say jareds SO pleased for him, and proudly told us nacho is the first bro to become a daddy.
he was standing up the whole time he talked to us, but after a while grabbed a stool and sat down, he was unbelievably nice and friendly. he thought trani and mcfearless bombed. but i explained it sounded great to me, and explained there was moments i just closed my eyes and got lost in it all, he was nodding and i dunno he was so lovely. he went off to talk to alissa for a while, but was sitting around us for the rest of the time we were there.
we didnt get to meet the other guys.
didnt take a pic, it would have been weird cos he seemed to want to talk, and i couldnt say "i want a pic" didnt feel approiprate.

thanks to jared for coming over and making time for me and julie and really taking a interest in what we do and for being so friendly. jared seriously impressed me with the way he was with us. thanks to everyone who arranged this for us.

Yes jareds aware people think its him being rude, we did say can we put that on the site, so folks can understand and he nodded and said yes.

it was EXTREMELY difficult keeping it a secret.

I'm kinda shy in real life, i can stutter my words if under pressure, but i honestly felt sod it try your best to get out what you want to say. felt he went away knowing this site is full of cool people, who all have enjoyed getting to know each other and building a great community, he seemed pleased with that cos we spoke about it a few times.

wanted to say about debs... wanted to big up the great folks on this site. but really it was jared, he seemed to just wanna talk, once he seemed comfy talking he was just talking away, especially with the amp thing.

ah i also told him that the fans that come for just sex on fire and use somebody we've referred to them as the "sex somebody" fans.... which he loved... he repeated it then got what i meant...
cos i said sof was just mental, said i've seen them play it a few times, but that was crazy.

I've forgotton another thing, god knows why we started talking about it, but Jared says stay away from the Twlight books, they're too addictive, they'll hook you in!!!!!!

haha, what i didnt say or explain properly (its been weird couple of days) is that jared explained he can connect with the sound of the amp better if hes facing it, like its clearer when hes in front, and sometimes need to quickly turn to it to connect with the sound, he was clear for him its about doing the best he can possibly do on a live show, it doesnt matter if folks can see his face, he said if people come to the show just to see our faces then they shouldnt be there.
i said i understood and if he felt pressure to face the crowd the whole time and smile and not do what he needs to do for him to feel right about the way hes playing then they'd be called a boyband, he said "Exactly" he clearly loves being on stage (despite recent interviews about touring, i think thats dues to the travelling, not actually being on stage) cos he loves playing and improving on himself.

i felt impressed with jared hes very down to earth, extremely polite

Me and Katie44 are at Stansted airport right now, but last night was amazzing we were right at the front in between Matt and Caleb. Trani was amazing, as was Cali and RML. Katie got a lot of good pics, although you weren't allowed to video. Post more when we're back home overall, it was a brilliant show and they all seemed to be enjoying it, especially Caleb. They handed out drumsticks at the end and Katie ended up getting into a fight with a girl over it, but she gave in cause we had to go gutted. brilliant night though

Ok I'm home, and I don't really have the energy to post everything just now. I'm just looking through the photos, but I'll upload them all (Maybe about 150 or so, some are blurry but) tomorrow.

Basically it was the best gig I've been to. Everyone was on top form, loved that they improvised the setlist, I cried when they started Trani, loved Caleb's moves during songs (especially a kinda clicking fingers move he did during RML).

Oh and I have to post this. There were a few girls behind us at the barrier, with her little cousin whose first show it was or something. And the whole time they were like "Oh I can't wait to see Nacho, I'm so excited...blah blah blah" and the cousin asked who Nacho was. So the girl goes "Oh he's Matthew's brother". I had to stop myself from turning round and being like "Excuse me? Do you know nothing?". After another 30 mins of them going on about how excited they were to see Nacho I turned round and burst their bubble by saying he wasn't gonna be there haha.
