Reading this makes me want to cry. Soft? I Want You?? Trani !! Why why why didn't they play any of these at the Merriweather Post show five days ago? I would've been happy if they'd played just one of them. Incredibly jealous. Anyway, looking forward to the reviews and pics.

So I've sobered up a bit and I still can't believe the set list. Great show! I have no pics because my camera is from, like, 1879 and doesn't take great pictures in the dark from a distance.
The boys: They were all in good spirits, Caleb especially. He said, "I don't usually do this, but we have the day off tomorrow so I'm gonna get drunk." He paused a beat and then added: "What the fuck am I saying, I always get drunk." Thunderous applause ensued. Jared was even in a good mood, waving at the crowd for a while as they walked off. No sour-puss emo-faces from him last night. Yay! The star of the night for me was definitely Nathan. He banged away during Trani, Black Thumbnail and even Four Kicks was played a lot faster than the last time I saw them. I am also a bit biased because I plan on having his babies.
The Set: Unbelieveable! They opened with Closer which was like an awesome siren call. They played Soft, I Want You, TRANI!! They left off My Party, Taper Jean Girl, and Milk but I honestly didn't mind. Caleb was extra sassy during I Want You. It's my fave song on the album so I was beyond stoked. True confession: I'm not that much of Trani fan but it sounds amazing live. I jumped around like a douchebag during it but I didn't care. Speaking of douchebags...
The Crowd: They were surprisingly good. Everyone danced and jumped around. In my section, the 100s, everyone was up and dancing. I was surrounded by only 3 or 4 fist-pumping, J.Crew-wearing, Sex Somebody fans. I loved that they didn't play Use Somebody until the encore as a "Fuck you". Caleb was pleased with the crowd. He said, "So you guys have listed to more than one album, huh? It's about fucking time!" So no Caleb tantrums. I was kinda disappointed, actually. LOL.
Side notes: Everybody and their mother was out that night. Lots of drunk tailgaters with cold cut sandwiches standing ON TOP of their RVs and trucks. After the show, some random drunk shouted "Fuck you, Queens of Larry!" So yeah, great show.

My favorite quote from Caleb last night was something along the lines of:
"It seems like you guys have listened to more then just our last album"... ."Its about fucking time"

Cinnamongiver, sounds like the crowd was much better for the NJ show. We were at the barrier directy in front of Jared for the MD show and -- i'm not exaggerating -- no one at the barrier or behind us knew the words to anything but OBTN songs and Knocked Up. Couldn't believe it!!
Maybe that's why they didn't play Trani or Milk ... didn't think the crowd deserved it.
