Here's a bit of an update! I was with Meghan today and we hatched a possible plan to come to Red Rocks, with her sister! It's very possible cuz the flights are cheap and there are still tickets available and she saw KOL in NY so she likes them too! so Jasmine if you're reading this, you might not have to come to MN first if Meg and her sister decide they can go!

Nope we talked about it when they were here. I think so far it's just me, you, and Jaz.

For the Red Rocks show - if anyone is coming from out of town (or out of the country), my girlfriend and I can help out with transportation or maybe help out with places to stay for HA members. I live in Denver and if any of you are traveling here - let me know if you need any help while in Denver. Enjoy the show.

No, it's just no one on here really cares about it.
Well I literally just got home from the airport, so I'll type up a review and setlist [nothing changed!] later.

^ haha. I know what you mean. Okay, so Red Rocks. Sunday afternoon drove up from Denver and got there at about 1:00 PM. I climbed about a million stairs (seriously, I was near death by the end of it) to find about 10-15 people waiting there on the stairs. There are 3 other entrances there, thus there were 3 other lines of people, but I think our line was the closest to the gate. We all waited there in the heat for about 6 hours as the line grew. The security guards slowly (of course) made their way over to us as we’re all literally preparing to haul ass once we’re let through. Luckily I didn’t bring a bag, so I was able to skip right pass the bag check, which I honestly think is the only way I got the spot I did. So I bolted like a friggin track runner past all the other people trying to get to the front. I got the first row, directly in front of Matthew. I was at the merch stand as The Whigs went on, but I only missed a song or two. I’ve seen them before and they were a lot better this time than the last time I saw them open. They go off about an hour later and everyone started preparing for the Kings to take the stage. This group of girls behind me yelled Nacho’s name about every two seconds, which was kind of annoying. I think one time usually suffices…anyway he didn’t turn around once for them, which I totally understand! So Kings come on what seems like an eternity later, and open up with Be Somebody. I love this song as a starter. It was great, as were all the songs. All of the guys were in good moods, especially Nathan, who was smiling like I’ve never seen before! I loved seeing some facial expressions from him. Caleb was pretty drunk I think, because he was being extra animated and didn’t make a sarcastic remark before SOF (he just said “I’d like you all to sing along to this one”). First time hearing RML and CA Waiting for me, was magical! Also my first time hearing The Devil Song, even MORE magical! I think I was one of few in the crowd who knew what the hell that was, and could sing along. It was perfection though. Also, I remember seeing the brown Gibson and thinking I was going crazy, but now I know it was in fact really there! Soooooo so happy to see it back! Throughout the show, Caleb was saying the usual stuff like how happy and grateful he was to be there. He mentioned how they had been at Red Rocks for the Monolith Festival a couple years back and how he never thought they’d be there again doing their own show with so many people in the crowd. He also said something like “They told me not to drink up here, but fuck it”…he was saying fuck a lot, haha, I can’t remember exactly what else he said though. It’ll come to me later. Towards the end, Caleb threw his hankie out into the crowd. I was too far away to catch it (I’m starting to pay attention to the general area where Caleb throws things…and it’s usually right in front of him. Go figure.) Anyways, of course they ended with Black Thumbnail. Rocking as always. They all waved goodbye for a decent amount of time (even Jared!) and then they were gone. Sad. I walked up to the stage as they were packing things up, hoping to get a setlist or a drumstick or something. But the security guards said they weren’t giving anything out and for SOME REASON I believed them, even though I know from experience that all security guards do is lie. So as I was walking away I turned around and saw those dumb fucks handing things out to people who hadn’t even been there when I had been! One of them even gave someone Caleb’s cup, which I wanted. But oh well. Next time. So that was it. It was an amazing show, even if nothing that spectacular happened. I enjoyed it very much, and am so grateful that I had such a great spot. I decided not to wait for them afterward because a) it was extremely hectic as everyone was leaving and b) I looked like shit by the end! So another time. BTW: Red rocks really is as amazing and gorgeous as it looks. Such a beautiful venue! Of course, I still can't afford a camera and have none of my own pictures but I know for sure they'll play there again. that sounds awesome! set list looks similar to lolla except we didn't get milk, cold desert, or the devil song having a camera is overrated unless you have a really good one! mine only took good pics in the daytime so all my KOL pics are dark from Lolla!

I know, I'd totally get a really expensinve camera just for gigs! Because it's a lot less depressing when it's over if you have a million really great photos and videos.
