No - you're right. I think the record company would have a seizure! Hahaha! (Do it! DO IT!!!) They could put it to bed after the festivals though. If they wanted. It's true, Radiohead did do it. And they wrote a song about it. And they didn't play Creep again for years.
I don't see the bands current situation as being one of no options, they're not completely powerless if they are /overworked/too tired/unhappy with SoF/too hot/don't like the look of the audience or whatever.

^^^ Did they. Not a Radiohead fan so didn't know. Excellent, so maybe KOL could do it! actually i think it would make them so cool, if they'd take SOF out of that set. like 'here you see, we can still play an awesome show without this f*cking song!!!' i'd love that. i'd throw my heart at them if they'd do so ps: i just remembered during their gig in berlin february this year people threw at least 5 cups pf beer (some still half full) in direction of the stage. thought that was kinda weird

Kings of Leon came on. On my side (Matt's) I was literally the only one standing up, or at least as far as I could see. Not like, most of the people were sitting down. No, everyone was sitting down, except me. And people kept on tapping my shoulder asking me to sit down. Which I didn't. I must admit I almost did, because it feels really awkard to be the only one standing in a crowd of hundreds. The peer pressure was pretty big. But I resisted it and kept on standing and dancing. If there were more people standing up I would have probably been more shouty and dancy. It's hard when you just hear people talking about you and giving you angry looks. Karma I, for one, have definitely gone down on Caleb a lot. *snigger* Lucky duck hahahahaha starts singing *You took the words right outta my mouth* so what im saying is that its more of a sarcastic smile and not a 'this crowd is great im havin fun' smile. Fo sho!! Wow just read this whole thread!! Feel terrible for the fans at the show..i'd have been bitterly disappointed and more than a little bit fucked off if i'd been in that crowd. None of the reasons put forward are in my opinion any excuse for the band/caleb to cut the show short, its just really bad form!! But i have to admit i do love to see the rooster coming out and the videos of crawl, sex on fire and cali waiting are among the best live ones i've ever seen!! (helped i'm sure in no small way by the vest ) He sounds amazing on Cali in particular and theres a real intensity when he's screaming "can i get back my lonely life" that made me feel rather sad for him And ticboo i think you may be right about the next album..show us the dark side caleb
