So I noticed a while ago that some songs have some similar lyrics, lines, odd words. Have y'all noticed any others?
Going to edit this to keep a running list:
Black Thumbnail-"I'll still be running from the demon in my head" Revelry- "But the demon and me were the best of friends from the start" ----------------------- The Bucket-"Too young to die, but old is the grave" Ragoo-"They're way too young, but I'm way too old to preach" Closer-"Feels so good but I'm old" Cold Desert-"I'm too young to feel this old" ----------------------- Slow Night, Slow Song-"She's seventeen, but I done went and plum forgot it" Arizona-"She must be plum crazy" I love Caleb's use of 'plum' ----------------------- Slow Night, So Long-"She's seventeen, but I done went and plum forgot it" 17-"Oh, she's only seventeen" ----------------------- Happy Alone-title True Love Way-Oh we'd be so free, Happy alone, Sharing a smile, So far from home" ----------------------- Happy Alone-"I love to watch you when you're dancing" Soft-"You try to drag me into your bohemian dancing" Slow Night, So Long-"Are you too good to tango with the poor, poor boys" (I looove that part of SNSL) Fans-"She'll be a-bopping to me" Revelry-"What a night for a dance, you know I'm a dancin' machine" Manhattan-"I like to dance all night" Beneath the Surface-"Sweaty ballroom dancin' fever" Be Somebody-"If for one dance"
Ready. Set. Discuss.

Mhm, i've definately noticed the first two! "I'm too young to feel this old" is probably one of my favorite lyrics, ever.

I've just always noticed the 'happy alone' thing (True Love Way, Happy Alone). Was this intentional?

I've just always noticed the 'happy alone' thing (True Love Way, Happy Alone). Was this intentional? Apparently the chorus thats in TLW was originally written for Happy Alone but it didnt work for it at the time!!

Plum is a southern country expression. He didn't make it up.

Caleb obviously likes to get down and dirty on the dancefloor:
- what a night for a dance, you know I'm a dancin machine - Revelry - sweaty ballroom dancin fever - Beneath the Surface - I could dance all night - Manhattan - I love to watch you when you're dancing - Happy Alone - she'll be a-bopping to me - Fans - are you too good to tango with the poor, poor boys - Slow Night, So Long - if for one dance - Be Somebody - you try to drag me into your bohemian dancing - Soft
Oh and if like me you had the thought that he is using dancing as a metaphor for sex in some of these then the first and third one are pretty interesting...
