I think they are going to be on break tbh. Or they might do all the other cities they aren't doing on this tour. Like NY and Texas etc. but it wouldn't take up most of the time. It could go a lot of different ways.
1) Continue to play shows in Europe and around the UK. Then come back for LA show and possible new tour.
2) Start off on the East coast ending with the LA show (and maybe this fest).
3) Take that entire month off before they hit the road again, which would mean they start off in LA and work their way east till mid september. Then go to UK again for 1 1/2 months to vacation by beginning of December again.
Either way you look at it. They need a break. They haven't had one since X-mas. I am pretty sure thats what is going to happen most of August.
But we all know what a break means for the boys... A NEW ALBUM.
Which would make perfect sense for number 3.
I am most confident that its #3. Csolis can vouch for the fact that I am pretty good at guessing their tour schedules before they are posted. I always get an itch. Its like a weird six sense.

They really need a break. I know they may get bored at home and what not, but honestly, it is a little too much, even I can honestly say that. I see them doing all of their European engagements June and July really. I see them doing part of their US engagements Spring and then playing a new handful of shows like they will in the Spring during August and (maybe) September, so that by November, they will be done with the tour. I don't want them burning themselves out though.  |

They're definitely touring until November - Caleb has said it a couple of times.

I the interview from that dutch radio station thats floating around here I think Caleb said the plan was to finish touring in November and start work on the 5th album in January 2010.
They've worked themselves ragged this year and really deserve a never-ending The Strokes-esque break but thankfully theres no danger of it happening cos the get bored way way too quickly! :)Bored or not tho a good few months off are sorely needed!

I'm definitely agreeing that they need a break. It kind of sucks when you're watching them play and they are clearly exhausted/don't want to be there. So for them and the fans as well, a break would be extremely beneficial.
But for some reason I have a feeling that they'll fill up the whole of August with US dates...just because they announced Arizona, one of their last shows of this first set, first and proceeded to fill in the months prior to it. And they're not really prone to taking breaks. But who knows, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I just hope that they're a bit more organized with the announcing of dates for the rest of the year, because this first set was a little messy. But I am really excited regardless because I never expected them to do so many more US shows after the January set.

I really hope they do some more shows before or after the LA show as Im seriously considering this one as an option.. a wee week in Vegas and $60 return flight from vegas to LA and it could all work out alritee!  Plus The Forum is right beside the airport so could stay in one of the cheapie airport hotels....! A show in Vegas would just be the icing on the cake 4 moi...please guys announce those dates soon so i can get my summer hols planned!!!  |

I think they should have opted out of summer of the summer festivals in the UK to play some radio fests here. It would have raised their repertoire here. However, it would have pissed a whole lotta people of. lol.
I think they need to do a proper US tour too though. Like, these random scattered dates are confusing and must be tiring. They need a full 6 week North American tour and knock it out in one hit ya know?
