I'm not going to sit around waiting for it. Eventually it will be here. I hope it is grungier. Please let it be grungier.

americas definition of music types is different to that of England like, so who knows how itl turn out.
plus i think theyre progressing and developing well, i think theyl manage and make whatever they move to next sound great.

You know.... the Kings don't make music for England, or for the USA, or for anyone other than themselves and those close to the band. Production and arrangements might steer the sound in one direction or the other, but only ever so slightly in my opinion.
So I'm just excited about what album the band will make NEXT, regardless of whichever adjective can be applied. Grungier or not.
Hell, "grunge" is dead at this point. The Seattle sound is surely influencing music to this point, but don't get too caught up in one particular adjective. Words like edgy, more energy, Raw, less polished, heavier, louder.... that's exactly how the OBTN songs sounded when I heard them play live a month ago anyway.
But that is NOT how I would describe OBTN album.

^ I know what you mean - there were a lot more slower songs on OBTN than the others but it still works for me:) But if you look back at all 4 records, they've all been different from each other and have evolved as the band evolved itself so I'm really excited about their new stuff (grungy or not) cos i know it will be different again Im even more interested in new lyrics cos now they've hit the big time i dont really see them singing about drugs and trani's anymore

I'm assuming most of their songs will be revolving around relationships from now on...I mean they don't really have anything else to write about?

bring on the grunge...i for one am wholly looking forward to whatever sound their next record will be, there's no other band that sound like them or remind me of kol so this means they can do what the hell style they like and still totally put their stamp on it, hooray!

Nathan said their next album was going to be a gospel album in an interview recently. Guess he was joking.

^^ haha exactly. I knew he was kidding about that...I think they like to see what they can get the public to believe...
and sugar, I agree wholeheartedly with what you said up there. I am excited for whatever they choose to put out because you know it's gonna be unique no matter what.
