Does anyone else miss the days of $20 KOL shows at venues that hold about 1500 hard core fans? Those days are long gone by now, but man, $65 seems like a lot for a show to me. Of course I had no hesitation to purchase when I saw the price but when I think about now...
What do you guys think?
Oh, and how much are tickets overseas going for a show now a days?

65 dollars?!? mine was $45, but with the processing fee and 3-day ups delivery it ended up being 73 bucks. man those 20 dollar days sure were nice. but good for them, they're making bank!
i'd be interested in hearing about oversees as well.

Tickets in Ireland are about €50 ($65) and in the UK they're about £30 ($45) - we're used to being ripped off in Ireland!!

Yup us Irish are used to getting ripped off for everything, not just gig tickets.

tis true^^ im sorry for you guys. when i visited dublin even the clothes in like top shop etc were up to a fiver more expensive than back here. i think we should pay less in a massive arena than a smaller venue but i also feel it should be a bit fairer all round.

Try tickets that are 100 dollars or more, and then cry to me. I'll take my $45 or $65 dollar ticket and skip away with joy and glee.

I'm not talking about KOL. I mean, certain bands or artists can charge you AT LEAST $100. So for me, $65 is nothing. I'll take that with pleasure.

I think £30 for 02 or whatever is fair enough, and £25 for smaller venues. I don't get why Madonna charges like £85 for seats in O2 when the Kings sold more records than her this year and are like a third of the price? If they ever charged that much I would have words!

I know what you mean. I love the boys, but I don't think they are worth anything more than what they are asking for right now. In all honesty, no one is worth anything less than 100 dollars.

yeah i think a band needs to consider what people can afford not what they will pay like i think kol could prob still fill a venue with people who would be willing to pay £50+ but that doesnt mean they should charge that.

Yeah exactly. At the end of the day however much you love a band there is a limit on what's acceptable

I think what they are charging right now is reasonable, and we've all proven that we are willing (for the most part) to go along with it and they still fill places. Hopefully, they don't get too big headed and start asking for more than they are worth.

Well if I was to go to a festival just for them (which I've done before but just for the day and it was only double the price of a normal gig ticket for them) I'd be paying up to nearly £200, but it's not like I'm paying £200 and only seeing them so I'm okay with it. But they seem like humble guys, I don't think they would charge silly amounts

The first KOL gig I went to, I paid £65 for the ticket, which was almost double what you would normally pay. In my mind, it was worth every penny!

I spent $200 on two tickets here - that's including the courier's fee too though so I think they were about $92 each or something. EDIT: Sorry, just got them out to see and they were $93.90 each which with current exchange rates is....USD$49.42.

the ticket prices arent up to the band! the bigger the venue the more staff, security and hangers on you have to pay for!! edit .... plus, they stay in swanky hotels with their girlfriends instead of the tour bus these days!!
