The only school were I'd want to attend every day, weekend and holiday. I could just treat this trip as like a spring break.

Okay, so I don't know how I missed this before on the Jazz Fest site, but I found the phone number. They will release the exact talent schedule around Feb. 14th. Ah, great - that's exactly what I was looking for...don't know how I missed it before too. With any luck, they will play right on my birthday! Woo hooooo Karma!

I have an "industry" friend looking into the excat date as well. I think I'll be staying the weekend but would still like to know ahead of time. WARNING: It is hot as balls down there! Be prepared to sweat.

There are finally some threads about the Kings on the Jazz Fest forum and a Fest organizer said that they would be playing Sat. May 2nd at night. Now, if you're coming from Boston, don't take my seat on that one good flight.

hey guys, i am new round here so it is nice to meet y'all. i live about an hour from new orleans and will be seeing our boys for the first time. so i am super excited. but as far as the tickets go, you can buy a one day pass that is good for any day that weekend. at least that is what i did. i hope to maybe meet up with some of you guys, since i am going with my little brother who i am sad to say is not a kol fan. but i have no one else to go with me so he will have to do.

Hey, I am new here. I saw a lot of you were having problems getting single day passes. I just bought mine on ticketmaster.com. Search for venues in the New Orleans area and search Jazz Fest. There are a million different Jazz Fest ticket pacages, just look for the one that says "New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Weekend 2 - Single Day Ticket". These are good for a one day admission to what ever day you want to go (which of course is Saturday).
I have not been to Jazz Fest in years (married with a 7 and 8 year old boy and girl), but havng the Kings come to my home town made me break down and get tickets. My Husband is coming with me, even though he is only a fan of the latest record (blasphemy, I know.) I am making him come with me. My 8 year old little girl wants to go since she loves the Kings, also, but I don't think Jazz Fest is the best place for little ones (though there are a lot of people who do bring their kids.)

Hey Jlo....so cool to see another Mom on the boards. My ds is 7 and is a big fan (he has no choice, Mom inundates him). Dh, ds and I are going to Disney in May......I worked it out that we are going the same week as KOL are playing! I am also planing on Jazzfest but just a weekend with a couple of friends. I have been before and you can certainly bring kids. They will get "an education in humanity"...lol...but it is entertaining for them as well.

I am late on the KoL train, but better late than never! I would love to go to this gig. It worries me that it says that the bands are subject to change... especially with the recent cancellation of a couple of gigs.
I am kicking myself that I wasn't aware of these guys a few months ago when they played Austin. Now who knows when they'll be back in Texas.
Plus would you believe I fly to Australia in March, and arrive a couple of days AFTER they play? Holy hell, there's a conspiracy!

I'm planning on going. I'm so excited it will be my first show! And do I care that I have a final that will make or break my grade that week? Nope...kings are more important.

Hey guys! I for the most part lurk. But I just really wanted to say how bad I want to go NOLA Jazzfest! My friend (who I have converted to KoL-ism this year) wants to go really bad too! Anyone know of a cheap place to stay?

Looking forward to your pics, and very happy to hear from someone who went to Jazz fest. Would love to have gone - I love New Orleans! I tried listening/watching online but they didn't choose the Kings as part of their broadcast.
