couldn't sleep tonight and came across this on TMF! just in time to see zane pick Sex on Fire as number 1 single of the year and OBTN as number 3 album (below Glasvegas - WTF! & MGMT) short clip of the guys sat on a sofa responding - caleb said they knew the single would be a hit when they wrote it but didn't know it would get as much acknowledgement as it has, not really worthy of a new thread i guess but thought i should let y'all know! still on at the moment, looking at vids next but i don't think KoL will feature - zane said before that the use somebody video looked like it was designed for the american audience to say hey look we're the perfect american band you just didn't know it yet - or something like that!

hmm i see what zane means about the use somebody vid, but i do love Caleb's eyes in it. they cut right through any manufactured pretension the vid might have been trying to portray. btw US fans, does this vid kick it for you like no other KoL vid ever did? if they were the perfect american family there is absolutely no way in hell i would still be a fan of this band! reckon nathan and caleb would make brilliant preachers (cause i have vast extensive knowledge on this subject and can verify that to be true) uhm yes the human quality! whatever. what did they say in response to what zane said about the Use Somebody video btw? ... and get to bed! it's gone 3am   |

Yeah i watched it, it was good to see them get best single, no one really had much to say about them though. That fred Les (used to date Peaches Geldof  ) pretty much said that they had sold out and that he had preferred their old stuff but that guys a twat!! Plus i have to agree with Zane's comment on the use somebody vid, its a hop skip and a jump away from a maroon 5 vid! its not my favourite vid its a bit too polished, i prefer the days of the four kicks video, KOTR etc, but each to their own i dont hate it but i dont love it either (apart from the caleb shower scene! LOL) |

I love Zane. He's such a big KOL fan - good taste man! Wouldn't agree with Glasvegas being number one but Oracular Spectacular from MGMT is simply breathtaking.

^^ haha all the above! i thought it was good tho' that they didn't all agree with zane - in fact they probably disagreed with him on most things, which is good healthy debate and they burst his bubble a couple of times when he was gushing over bands e.g. coldplay's latest. btw - timgrw - MGMT were no 1 album and Glasgvegas 2, would hate to be misinforming people sarahrose - your Jared sig is awesome  , tho he is my least fave - but i do love him loads!! and yeah even tho zane is a bit of a pain he's definitely been there for KoL  |

I hate Zane, he's a tool & an awful interviewer. I didn't know anyone liked him.
He gets on with Nate & Leb really well though, so I guess he must have something going on.
I thought it was a good show in general. Although Carl Barat actually spoke like once.

Thought it was a load of shite tbh. the fred lad is a twat, his voice is so annoying. He was with mtv at oxegen, my friend went up to him and went who the fuck are you? and then ran away hahaha they hadn't barely even listened to any of the stuff they were meant to be talking about. The kaiser chiefs lad didn't have a clue. Carl looked very pretty! and zane was bang on about the use somebody vid, even though I'm not too fond of him |
