Matty isn't my favourite but I have been partial to a bit of him lately so thought I should contribute - 1. his "modelling" pics, the one of him up there in yellow for instance ^ and i think it was for Q mag? with his suit on and him smoking 2. the way he talks, the sighing/heaving breathing and his accent  3. him smoking, bad habit but when it looks that good... 4. the way you know he's feeling a song when he bends his knees when he plays! 5. his rocking out in general 6. his smile 7. how much he's progressed as a player 8. how sweet and down to earth he is 9. his fashion sense/hairstyles 10. i had to save this til last.. his hilarious high pitched laugh and "oh my goooood" in the MTV Hotel videos when they see the tranny on the street! |

Have u read that Jam Base interview: JB: Caleb, tell me about Matthew as a guitarist.
Caleb: Well, as a person he's pretty shy. He's not as confident as he should be. He's one of the better musicians in the band. He can fucking rip on the guitar. The thing is, he'll play something really cool but think it's stupid. So, he'll come up with something else and something else again. He just doesn't have the confidence. But man, when he gets onstage, wow. Have you ever seen his legs? When both his knees bend, he's fixin' to wail, man. He's fixin’ to get into it.
He's the outsider - we're three brothers, he's the cousin. He's quiet and stays in the background but when he goes up there and plays he takes it to another level. Matthew has always had great opinions. We'll end up leaving a song off the record that later on we looked back and regretted and Matthew was the one pulling for it. I love how he describes him, because of that interview I always look out for the legs bending, cos I know we're in for a treat! And I like how it comes across that Caleb looks out for him, so sweet |
