I'm so jealous at how well your photos came out! I'm really tempted to buy another camera before Birmingham! Brighton - LOVE this one!

Sarah your pics are great I know I won't get any decent ones because I keep getting told that no-ones gonna come to the front with me

You should make them! It's hard because I worked out my camera takes literally a minute to take a photo if it's dark so I have to take it when it's pretty well lit! And also with people pushing most the time I didn't get much chance, I wanted to make sure I made time to boogie too

And also with people pushing most the time I didn't get much chance, I wanted to make sure I made time to boogie too can I make a suggestion for next time? you probably don't need a new camera. most camera's take longer to shoot in auto mode, because the camera has to determine the light and distance to take the shot. if your camera has manual options, use it. and pre-program the settings before the show, so you don't have to do this in the dark. -push the ISO to 400 or 800 (or high depending on your camera's settings) -set the aperture to the lowest possible, f/2.7 or f/3.2 (the lower the aperture, the more the lens opens, meaning you get more light & less photos that are dark) -if you shoot at a shutter speed of 1/60 sec or higher, you'll have much less camera shake. (you can shoot lower, if it's a song with brighter lighting) -turn off the digital zoom, only use the optical zoom (for most digital cams it's 3x or 4x). your photos will come out MUCH less grainy. You can do this on most point & shoot cameras, the model doesn't matter really. it depends on you knowing how to use it in manual, for different situations. You can always practice taking pictures during the opening band, and delete them, so you get an idea of which settings work best for that venue. **forgot to mention, never use the flash, turn it off. you don't need it & you won't get hassled by security for taking pics with out flash

i took mine with the flash on. i can never get good photos otherwise, they always blur yea, you were up front right? if you were front row, or within the first 10 rows. i can see why you got good results using flash if you would have been farther back in the crowd then the flash wouldn't have fired strong enough to have reached the stage.
