yeah folks from up north say i sound like a londoner, yet londoners say i sound like farmer giles!!! Never understood the me duck reference. lol no me neither  i hope everyone gets to meet them! they are rather lovely and down to earth, by the sounds of it they havn't changed much either in that respect. I think they just like people  and lol timgrw yr bottom pic of Caleb in yr sig is from the second time i met them!  me and Caleb almost had a conversation about Dylan, i asked which was his favourite album - Bringing It All Back Home, also one of mine - but then forgot to like say anything about it. I got a smile and just sorta froze, he seemed to like the question and i was too in shock from that reaction being from one of my questions that i kinda went blank and didn't know what to say. Think i just sorta smiled and hmmd at him, lol if i remember rightly he just stood there wondering if that was it, u gna say anymore? nahhhhh man i am so slow  |

awh thanks yeah at Big Hands -woo! what a name, suggests some kinda jazz hand movement that name - at their aftershow party, knew Sarah pretty well back then and they - i assume - kinda wanted to say thank you to her for the site so gave us some passes. No Nathan showeth though, lol i was like to Caleb and Jared on the stairs .... all meek like,  where's yr brother? lol Caleb, i swear turned rnd to where Jared was but with a look of 'shit!! where's Jared, i've lost him AHHHH ...... oh phew there he is ohhhhhhhhhhhhh u mean Nathan. and then went onto tell me they had a punch up before the gig or something lol and he was ill. |

yeah Sarah is Sar, miss happy alone (site wise) she started the site with her sister in the summer of 03, we were all so relieved to finally have a decent place to call home back then as the official board was pants! i consider myself lucky, definately, to have had those experiences  pretty much spent quite a lot of time with them that night I am an oldie -but a goldie- was on here the first week this place opened |

hi whiskers - that's so cool that you were here when the site just opened i wish i'd heard of them longer than i actually have but i guess i'm just glad i got to know of them AT ALL seeing that they're not big here in the Philippines (where i'm from). i actually went to a music store the other day (one of the biggest music stores here if i may add) to get their latest album, but guess what, they don't have it yet! guess i'll just buy from amazon.com or ebay and have the cds shipped here a couple of radio stations are starting to play Use Somebody though so it might not be long before they become known here. have they done any show in Asia? i realllly wish they'd have a world tour, even if they don't come to the Philippines, i'd definitely fly out to whatever part of Asia they're going (hoping it's Singapore though cause i have friend there LOL!) |

^ ohh, yeah.. i think i've heard them mention in an old interview that they were going to japan next... i hope they'll go back - everything's expensive in japan though so i don't think i can afford to go there LOL!

It was an amazing night! So much more to say about it, maybe another time yeah, all these photos from Big Hands are either by me or Sarah, that one, i believe is one of Sarah's. I'm trying to remember what happened in the photo, they were on the couch, all three; Jared, Matt and Caleb and i can't quite remember how, but somehow Caleb ended up laying across their laps and Jared was tickling his belly, lol, think i was talking to someone else when it happened. So cute tho! They invited us to London the next night after the Notts gig - by text!! well Brent did but he was on the same bus - to party and they apologised cause we didn't get to meet up. It was crazy after the Notts gig, long story. Anyway Nathan waved his cow at me!! Which after-parties have you been to? thanks hotshot, yeah was cool! does anyone know where that gang has gone? Sarah, Sel and Laura (Prickley Porcupine)? It's good that they are so successful now cause otherwise you may have never got to hear their music in the Philippines it's very hot there, isn't it? good for snorkelling! fishiessss. love the little fishiesss |

No one's on right now but I guess I'll post anyway. So I went out back behind the venue where the tourbus was, expecting to see a big group of people. There were about 15 to begin with, but they slowly died off, leaving only about 8 in the end. Michelle and I stood outside in the FREEZING cold for about an hour in total. The security guy lied and told us that the guys had left in an SUV but I wasn't having any of that! Luckily, my mom is a wuss and called a cab to sit in while I waited outside, and the cab driver was AWESOME. He looked like security, so he went and talked to the guys' bodyguard (their cousin) who said that they were inside in a 'meeting'. Well turns out they were in there smokin and drinkin. Anyway, once I couldn't feel my limbs anymore, Caleb came out. He's a lot smaller in person! He was holding a cup of red wine I think, and he seemed pretty drunk already, but he was definitely really nice! I asked him if he could sign my ticket and of course he said yes. Then I thanked him and he asked if we were taking a picture. I said yes and the picture was taken. My mom was being incredibly annoying and told him that we came all the way from Phoenix, to which Caleb replied by saying that it was one of his favorite cities. When Caleb was getting on the bus, I told him how amazing the setlist was and how happy I was that they played Trani. He said "yeah, well they tried not to..." I guess the other guys didn't want to play it? Not sure why. Anyway I told him that they did an amazing show, he said thanks and God bless you all, and got on. Then I turned and saw Nathan. My heart dropped, he is so gorgeous!! He actually looked pretty tall, and is pretty big...Okay bottom line, he is THE NICEST GUY IN THE WORLD. And I'm not exaggerating. He came out and was in such a great mood and being so nice to everyone, and chatting and stuff. He has a camcorder in his hand and was filming all of us. I was so shocked and in awe of him but I managed to sum up the courage to talk to him. He was holding a beer in his free hand so I said "do you have a hand to sign my ticket?" and he enthusiastically said "yeah!" so I held the ticket for him and he signed it. He goes "this is being documented, these are memories!" with the camera angled at me. I said "oh, I wondered why you were filming!" Then I asked if I could have a picture and again he said "sure!" really happily. I leaned in a little bit, but he grabbed my shoulder and brought me in really close, which was nice! Yeah, he is definitely the warmest and sweetest of them all. So then I went to stand by Caleb and some girls, and Jared came out. He was kind of aloof and not that talkative, but I wasn't expecting that much. I got a picture with him and he signed my ticket. Matthew didn't come out and I was catching pneumonia, so I just gave up. Anyways, I'll post the pictures once I have them uploaded. They're really great guys and I'm sooo glad I got to meet them! *sorry they're so small. but I looked like shit as I had been up since 3:30 and it was freezing. So I kinda want them to stay small  * ^^ that's Nathan filming my mom taking the picture He did that in all of them! |
