last night i got as close as i could... tonight i was up in the balcony where i could drink, and enjoyed every minute of it... heres the set...

1st of all... every song after sex we screamed from the balcony ARIZONA and the fucking played it... it was magical. im on such a high right now, and them to play true love way... ARE YOU KIDDING ME...... this is why i am in love with this band... philly was awesome, MSG in january will be sweet

ok, now that its the next day and i do apologize for cursing last night but it was that good. Seeing closer as an opener was really cool, since we got Crawl the night before. It is a really good song to get you into Crawl. Not many bands that have their 4th album out would open the show with the first 3 songs, in order, off there new album. My Party is such an awesome live song.... you really cant help but dance to it. I must say the way the Electric Factory is set up... being up top (yet still 10 yards from the band with no one infront of you) was way better at enjoying the show and being able to drink which you cant do on the floor. Just seeing the atmosphere of the place which i couldnt the first time was pretty amazing.
Then, the cowbell came for California Waiting and i was surprised the crowd go that into it... the Caleb said "we are gonna mix it up and play whatever so here it goes..." now last night he said this and went into revelry... so i wasnt expecting much... but to hear the opening of True Love Way was unbelievable. Now what made this better was my friend is newly into the band but thinks they are awesome, of coarse. This is his favorite song, now unless they played it in Boston this is the first time they played it all tour. What a coinisedence... he was very lucky to catch that show. Milk, always a fav live... just that bass drum gets the place really going.
Now, for the highlight of the night. I swear after Sex, we yelled Arizona after every song, and even if they didnt play it i woulda been fine with it... but i did think it had a chance to be played since they sound checked it before Saturday's show... but when they went into it i just stopped for and stepped back and just took it all in. the crowd didnt seem to into it (but then again it is a slow song) and I was even surprised the applause the song got when it was over... very important to them playing it again i think. We were acually going to bring a banner that said "Arizoan Please?" and "thank you" on the back if the played it which would of been classic. But it was a great version... whorehouse arizona... Cold Desert was another one that i though sounded much better Sunday night, didnt think it would be a good live song but they make it work.
Encore was the same as the night before... i must say im a guy, so charmer isnt one of my favorite songs off BOTT, but much like My Party, it is an awesome live song... the crowd really gets into it. Manhattan it just so enjoyable to listen to... easily my favorite from the first time i heard the version from tampa 5 months ago now. Black thumbnail (although i rather SNSL end every show) was amazing. The whole crowd really got intot his one just like the previous night. And again Nate came infront of his drums and applauded us along with every one else. A great weekend for the kings in Philly... i was very happy to be apart of it all
