Thanks for your report Sxesadie It sounded awesome. I doubt the Kings will be complaining about their lack of support in America after this tour, becase as you said their audiences are expanding and they've got themselves a big swathe of hugely dedicated fans. I'm sure they appreciate it - that's why they take the time to sign autographs and take photos with fans. I was going to say the exact same thing. I haven't heard about their lack of support since they started this tour. I suppose we'll know the truth when they come back to the UK. If they say "It's good to be back to where we consider home" or something like that. But I honestly don't think they will now. I think they know they are truly appreciated over there now. And you guys should count yourselves lucky that they actually come out and sign things over there. Here their huge bodyguards push us out the way so they can get straight into the bus without even looking at us. aw that's sad. that's why we're all fearing their popularity growth over here... ah well. guess we'll see what happens

Ah come on girl, don't leave us hanging We want details LOL ok I posted this on the KOL board too but here's my daring tale: I’ll try to keep this short so I won’t go into much detail about the pre-show except that I waited outside for 6 hours in 30 degree weather without a ticket trying to figure out how to get in. I got to see Nathan, Caleb, and Matt when they got off the bus and I ran into Nathan in the restaurant he was leaving as I was going in. I just said hey to all of them and they returned the favor. So for the next few hours myself and many other fans pretty much ran around downtown Atlanta looking for someone to sell us tickets and I finally found a guy who wasn’t charging $150 (yes the scalpers were charging a $150-200 for a $40 ticket!). I still paid a lot of money but it was worth it to get in. The show: The Kings were awesome! The crowd LOVED them and Caleb seemed surprised by all the singing along and jumping from everyone. It was so awesome to see them all look at each other and just smile. However while the show was great, I do think it could have been better. After continuously watching their performances on youtube I expected the boys to be more balls to the walls on stage. They had great presence and were into the songs but they just seemed a bit out of it, maybe they were just tired, maybe they’re getting a bit older, maybe I just had too high of expectations. Also the set list was a bit blah for me. As some of you know, I’m not too crazy about OBTN and the songs that I just really hate off that album they played LOL. I was hoping they’d play more of their harder driven songs like Trani, Soft, Spiral Staircase, Velvet Snow, etc., however the fact that they played Slow Nights So Long, Four Kicks, and Charmer among other greats made up for it. And might I add, Caleb is one hell of a dancer. It was so cute to see him really get into certain songs and start dancing and moving his hips. Aftermath: Afterwards I waited outside with some fans for about an hour to wait for them after the show near their tour bus. Here’s my impression of the guys: Matt, a sweetheart but he just really doesn’t talk much. Nathan is really cool and so fucking beautiful in person… more than I expected! Jared: was never really my favorite and last night was another reason for me to dislike him. He’s ok but it kind of annoyed me that when he came out he didn’t even acknowledge any of the fans, he was actually about to just get on the bus until a couple of fans started begging him to come back (one girl kind of yelled at him which was pretty funny). Caleb: such a doll! He looked sick, tired, and cold and I could tell he didn’t want to be there but if it wasn’t for his body shaking and his red eyes you’d never know. He didn’t complain he didn’t rush any of the fans, he just took his time with each one of us and started from the last person on to the first and talked to every person who wanted to talk to him and get a picture. He even answered my questions about “I Want You.” That being said, if I could do the whole night over again, freezing cold and all I would! They put on one hell of show and made my whole experience worth it. However it was a bit bittersweet to me. While going to the concert made me have a rebirth in my love for them it also kind of made me VERY annoyed with Kings. I met so many awesome fans last night (which by the I would recommend going to a Kings concert just to hang out with other fans!!) and so many people who were dedicated to the band. One guy drove from Mississippi without a ticket hoping to find a way in, one girl risked possibly getting fired to show up and try to get in, and so many other people drove from so far and risked so much and shelled out an assload of money just to see Kings play. So it kind of pisses me off when they constantly complain that America doesn’t care about them and that they want to be huge here. I just don’t get how big do they want to be!? They’re MASSIVE in the UK selling out 85,000 seats in four minutes and they’re selling out shows here. I just don’t get why they feel that UK fame and a fairly large and very dedicated American audience aren’t good enough. Regardless I'm glad I went and WILL be going next time they come. I love Kings of Leon!!!

This is a great glimpse of your KOL concert experience. I went to the Saturday, Philadelphia, Electric Factory show, which was truly amazing, but had to get tickets via other means since it sold out rather quickly. I could not get over the prices people were offering on Craigslist, etc. I have been to many Electric Factory shows, really love shows there, but never attended a sold out one, however, some people really try to take advantage. Needless to say I did get tickets for a more reasonable price, but still paid a bit much considering the $36.00 ticket price. It was absolutely worth it!! It's interesting b/c I saw U2 back in May 2005 and had an extra ticket and sold it for face value and had a very pleasant exchange with another fan...who later repaid the fair exchange w/ meeting me at the show and giving me copies of some live recordings. I actually saw KOLs twice as openers for U2 in Philly! I heard "The Bucket" and was intrigued and never steered off course. I think once a KOL fan always a KOL fan...they are just that amazing type of band!

I about killed the drunk blonde girl. I had to keep telling myself that I couldn't punch her because I would go to jail and then I'd miss this awesome KOL show and it just wasn't worth it. I took my 17 yr old cousin and it was his first real rock concert and the drunk girl wouldn't leave him alone. BUT It was totally an amazing show aside from that. We were so close, i felt like I could reach out and touch Caleb. He is so beautiful in person. They all are! It was heartbreaking This was my third show and the best yet! They are so amazing and they have such a presence about them. Total rock stars!

Yup, that's me! Aw, I wish I had known or you would have said hello. Where you the poor girl getting harassed by that drunk girl? Who supposely chocked someone of something? haha. Way to much drama going on in that crowd that night if you ask me. hahaha! I love meeting other KOL fans. Next time, okay?!? Well, I remembered seeing you at the show after I saw your avatar here yesterday. I don't roam around the forum much, sorry. But certainly next time. You seem nice. And yeah, that was me being heckled by the girl. I tell ya, I showed a little sympathy, and all of a sudden she wouldn't stop apologizing to me, and telling her freaking problems.... I was getting sick of her. I remember one time she kept on during the Kings' set, and that was the last straw, I yelled at her to let me watch the show and to shut the fuck up. I was pissed. Hahaha! I know it’s not funny, but I couldn’t help but laugh. I don’t know what her problem was. I think EVERYONE in the crowd was out to get her. Haha. I remember telling my friends I came with about you and how bad I felt for you with that drunk girl all over you. Yes, next time we see one another lets be sure to at least say hello. Hopefully that drunk girl won’t come again, but if she does I got your back and we’ll knock the hell outta her if she interrupts us during the Kings. Hahaha. So sorry you got stuck with her!

He just laughed at me and told me he was sorry, he knew I loved them but the overall city of Nashville didn't...which I do agree with and again, it makes me mad! dang it! lol
Yeah, the comments on any Kings-related articles on The Nashville Scene website are so hateful it's almost funny. Actually, it IS funny - the jealousy seeps out of every comment no matter how much they deny it!

Hello Happy Aloners... Im finally home and have plenty of time to gossip! This was my third time seeing them... and to be honest the best! I saw them with pearl jam and was literally dancing and singing along all by myself. I also saw them on halloween with black rebel motorcycle and they hardly said one word. The band was happy... cute.... I was impressed. I liked the line up.. and the only thing I didnt like was the fact they couldnt play more. Before the show my friend and I saw nathan run into a bar with some other guy... (i think the manager maybe?) so we decided to follwo we sat at the bar and waited for them to eat... once he went to leave i asked for a picture and he was totally cool... i even asked is it ok to touch you? haha like a total tweeb and he replied "yeaaa" haha (the picture came out good) during the show the drunk blondie was around constantly... we were up front and she was very annoying... after the show we waited for what seemed like forever... my friend and i are from florida and it NEVER gets that cold..her lips were actually purple! finally the boys came out... and to our luck caleb decided to start at our side (no1kolfan) we were right next to you guys! i felt like a total dork...but he was sweet...and when he looked at me i almost melted... 20 degrees outside and all. ive got one hell of a cold and my lips are chapped... but if i could do it all over again i would in a heart beat! anyway ive got a lot of videos on youtube.... sorry again about my awful voice and loud screams! www.youtube.com/user/xojessaive also got tons of pictures if anyone is interested...message me!

They might have gotten a little more lucky compared to other Nashville bands, but they've worked their butts off to get where they are now regardless. I tell ya, I could start some fights defending those guys here in Nashville...which I already have before. haha. THEY ARE MY BAND, no matter what anyone says. haha.
