Ok, i´m back home from this f***ing great gig!!!! I have to defend myself: The crowd was lame but my husband and i did our very best to gave the kings what they deserve. I lost my voice somewhere in front of the stage ;-) It seemed that most of the people don´t know the older songs, so it was very quite the whole time, but caleb and the guys enjoyed their show, i think. They were smiling and making fun. Caleb was joking around with my husband when he heard that he was playing some wrong notes. It was soooooo great and i´m happy to get to their show tomorrow in the palladium. Unfortunatly we did not see them after the show, because just ten minutes after the encore we could see a black van was leaving the venue... :-( BUT: This grin-faced security guy in front of me picked up calebs plectron an gave it to me!! And we picked up 2 drum sticks. :-) I´ll try to upload some pics after the show tomorrow. Get some really cute ones of caleb and Jared because i was standing right in front of them. So, see ya tomorrow. Good night. Karma for rocking within this lame crowd!!!! I'm still so jealous. I'd die for seeing them two days in a row like you're gonna do! |

@ kultbert: karma (when I can) for the fantastic videos. You really had a great view from up there. My next concert in the Columbiahalle will be the Mando Diao one in April. The I'll try to get one of the top balcony positions  Do you go to the MD gig too? |

Another articel translation on Monday night's show (being @ work is sooo boring  ): Kings Of Leon - The kings of rock You haven't heard anything about the band from Nashville, Tennessee that was started in 2000 for three records - and now they make a big impact. Kings Of Leon is everything else than a casting band, cause they're made up of three Followill brothers and their cousin Matthew. With their latest record "Only By The Night" they fill up concert halls, huge ticket prices on EBay and countless screaming fans. That's the same on Monday, February 23rd 2009, in Berlin's Columbiahalle. You've never seen a concert with so many fans begging for tickets in front of the hall. To see their heroes, many of the would've paid three times the actual ticket price. But only a few of them were lucky, cause Columbiahalle was sold out for a good reason that night - and the reason's called Kings Of Leon. The kings brought a special act with them that has not been revealed until 8 p.m. Without any warning or announcement The Ettes hit the stage. The band founded in 2004 in Los Angeles does energetic and explosive punk music. The trio, inspired by The Ramones and The Kinks, reminds me of a mix between The Subways and The Gossip. Sometimes you even hear a little of The White Stripes. The Ettes brought to as a lot of women's power from the US and got the audience rocking within their 30 minutes of playing on stage. At 9 p.m. finally the boys from the south hit the stage. The fans were already rocking during their first song. With "My Party", one of the first songs of the playlist, the kings motivated the audience to sing along. "If you're not gonna sing with me, I’ll quit playing.", said Caleb. With "Closer" he showed the full spectrum of his brilliant voice. During the first half hour of the show there was nothing like moshpits, but a lot of goose bumps. But with "Sex On Fire" everything started. With this song the boys delivered a real catchy song that seems to be as popular with the fans as it is with the radio stations. The expected break came along with "Use Somebody“ that sounds live just as on CD, as all the other songs do too. But Kings of Leon are also glorious on stage. So close your eyes and enjoy. After about an hour they left the stage for the first time. Even though the crowd screamed as hell, the band didn't appear again for a long time. But then we finally got more. Another 30 minutes we got in high spirits by pure American rock of Kings Of Leon. Time for a summary. That just hast to be positive due to a great sound and the satisfied fans. Maybe you could smile a little more often, Caleb, but besides that: thumbs up! |

Karma Kultbert for the videos. Hahaha, what is Matt doing rolling around on the floor haha he was jus totally exhausted! so adoreable! and both times he walks off stage he gives that bald man a big bear hug...haha he's so cute! caleb was very tired too, he did that gesture as if his voice was dead at the end of the gig. poor thing! jared seemed to be a lil bit bored after all  he didn't really look very happy but i have to admit i didn't look at him that much. nathan was the coolest! i bet he pees ice cubes, thats how cool he is! @ holyrox: thank you! i'm actually not planning to go to Mando diao. i just read in the new VISIONS that they're having a show in the columbiahalle, but i'm sure it's already sold out. since 'dance with somebody' seems to be their 'sex on fire' i listened to them a lot during 'down in the past'-days and i really loved them. i hope you enjoy the show! mando diao is a greeeat liveband...i've heard |

On the 1live website they have a different angle ( more of the crowd) when they are playing sex on fire,,, when Caleb sings watching . notice his eyes about 34secs in. also did anyone read the interview ( i think it was from last year) it says Caleb interview, but I"m sure they mean matthaw, cos the interviewer asked about alex and Johanna . and Matthaw says about she has moved to nashville with him ,,,its abit confuseing .

^haha.. damn i missed jareds reaction during sof.
but i do have to say that he seemed to need a bit of time to get into the show.
and i just watched the vid. i hate those fast cuts in concert shots. i mean, it's not an action movie. but that the thing he does with his eyes is gorgeous.

Watched your videos kultbert brilliant thanks... ooh ok i take it all back...but i just have to admit...my eyes were on nathan and matt most of the time...i couldn't stop staring at nathans arms for the first 10 minutes...he just looks gorgeous live! and he showed us some nice arm pits at times wohooooo  |

Thank god I got two tix You right, "dance with somebody" is their SOF. They're No. 2 in the german charts with the single and No. 1 with their new album. But I am very happy for my swedish guys. They deserve the fame after five terrific albums! |
