At the risk of sounding completely ignorant... what is "Navy"? Other than a color and a division of the military.

I read somewhere that Navy represented perhaps a schoolgirl's uniform............ I guess cause sometimes schoolgirl's uniforms are navy blue?

Probably navy means navy blue interior of the car. sounds possible, a coup deville with navy interior.
I also was watching the music video to The Bucket on mtv and they blanked out "you kick the bucket and ___________"
really strange with it being the title line of the track and all

Assisted suicide basically. You stand with the nouse around your neck and stand on a bucket and get someone else to kick it out for you. If you want to know the gory reasons why they do it like that, it's because when they kick it our they generaly do it from behind and the neck muscles dont have time to tighten which increases the chance of the neck breaking which = quick death. Nice eh.

If you watch the MTV footage of the Oxegen preformance of Knocked Up Caleb frowns/makes a face when the "Navy" part is blocked out and then looks over to Jared who starts to laugh! I figured it was Jared blocking it out with the synthisiser but maybe not!

Nice eh. OMG! Ive been working on this theory for ages, IU just didn't want to say it incase it was totally wrong. I knew it was assisted suicide! Yes, go me for having a morbid mind :]

It's not about assisted suicide. It's a suicide pact ("always remeber the pact that we made)". Kicking the bucket is one way to hang yourself (http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/218800.html) and swinging your legs is another.
