Mr Followill (s), do you not realise how well Trani would fit in after Cold Desert? It would be the perfect crescendo into Slow Night. You know it! Please?

^hehe! If I don't hear Trani live before I die I'm coming back from the dead to haunt them You guys have made me feel sad - You do seem bitter, both of you, and I don't think it's warranted because you have no idea why they choose to play what they play - Do you really think the Kings haven't played what you want to spite you??? Because that's the way it comes across. Spoiled bitches?? Pot calling the kettle black I would say! Some people have not seen them at all, me included! Not everyone has been in a position where they can see them and you, dyjosu, have seen them 3 TIMES. I wish I could have gone to the three shows it seems you failed to enjoy so much. As Snuchs said, they are human, warts and all, and maybe they could have played better sets in the States, but really, get over yourselves. Maybe I am misjudging you both, but that is how your posts come across from where I am sitting - If I've got you wrong put me right and I'll take it all back! 3 shows, $300 in tickets and a couple of 5 hour car rids to and from new jersey. i expect them to show some love to their fans. they know everyone wants trani but i don't think they've played in the states at all since the bott tour. bob dylan played blowin' in the wind and like a rolling stone pretty much every show for 20 years. he doesn't play those songs every night anymore so i never got to see it, but i don't complain about it because he showed he wanted to give his fans what they paid for. now kol goes around playin the same hour and a half set list for an entire u.s. tour, including days where they play back to back at the same venue and don't switch anything at all. we got about 2 shows with frontier city and 3 with be somebody and that is about all of the variation. no, actually there was a little more variation. they also cut fans out of their set in the last part of the tour. symbolic. and all you european fans are the ones who act like you're the "real" kol fans and you deserve a better show than us. then yeah, it's frustrating when they go to europe and kick it off with a 2+ hour show featuring trani, joe's head and wasted time. so i'm sitting back in the u.s. and i see that they play a 28 song set list 2-3 weeks after i just saw them play the same 21 song set list 2 nights in a row. yeah, i admit i'm bitter. i'm pretty sure i said i was bitter in my first post. i'll still go to their shows whenever they're in my region so they'll have plenty of chances in the future to prove me wrong. and they don't have to play exactly what i want to do that. all they have to do is mix up their set list a little bit each night to show they give a shit. they have 4 albums and people don't want to hear the exact same songs every show. keep in the new ones, the big ones (taper, charmer, slow night, so on...) and mix up a few different ones each night. it doesn't even have to be 2 hours, just mix it up a little. but just pedaling out the same short set list every night makes me feel like they just don't give a shit.

Maybe they don't expect people to go to more than one show. If you only went to one, you wouldn't realise they played the same set every night. Maybe they think the setlist they are playing is the best one. I'm sure they've thought long and hard about it.

and all you european fans are the ones who act like you're the "real" kol fans and you deserve a better show than us. an unfair generalisation - I don't believe you really think all of us in 'europe' thinks that. I think you're just trying to pick a fight. The problem you have is with the kings, it just makes you look bad trying to lay stuff on 'all' 'european' fans. Hopefully you will be happier with future gigs you go to.

I think you are taking this way to far.... At the end of the day have you thought about licence agreements etc etc... all concerts need a licence and maybe in europe they can get them that permit them to play for longer, which is why we get more songs?? Do you really think that before a gig they all sit down and 'say hey i got an idea lets p*ss off our US fans'. As they get bigger they have to chose which songs to play and i don't think I have seen anyone that has played all the songs they have ever written... have you? Nobody deserves a better show because at the end of the day we are all KOL fans, and I don't think it matters which country any of us are in... what matters is that we still get to see them play and at the end of the day thats all that matters.... They cannot please all of the people all of time...

^^ and they only played 2x2hr shows in the UK tour so far anyway so we're not all getting that treatment, but I'm not bitter about it. Dont get me wrong I'd love if I was at a 2 hr show where they played trani and arizona etc but like avidblue said, the important thing is we see the band we love!!!!!

And also the whole thing about changing up the setlist every night, I'd be pretty gutted if the night before the show I was going to got all my favourite songs, and the show I was at, I got songs I wasn't too fond of. Yeah, I don't like the setlists being exactly the same, but I prefer it that on the UK tour we've all pretty much had the same setlist. Makes me a little less jealous of shows in England and Wales or wherever, cause I know Glasgow got pretty much the same songs

Aw - I'm taking it all back now! you're making me cry!! It's not what got me hooked on kol, but I'm with you on how you feel about that video - and I am kind of desperate to see it live too. I understood you much better with that post. I've been wanting to see kol for 4 years - I really got into them when I became ill and spent a lot of time in bed, listening to music. I've got tickets for the summer but that same illness may stop me going. Talk about frustrated. That's kind of why I took exception to your tone and what you said about european fans. I realise it's not been easy for you to see them, but you have. We're all fans and all just a bit kol nuts on here. We'll just have to keep everything crossed that they include Trani when we see them. Have some karma (soon) - maybe it will help you not be so bitter
