Jared was saying in an (old) interview that one crowd wouldnt let them go off stage so they had to do 2 encores, I reckon this is what we need to do too

Im sooooo disappointed at the lack of YAYM. I mean i just cant comprehend not hearing trani again, it was amzing at brixton. Id love to hear spiral staircase live too but thats never gonna happen. Maybe they are just missing them out of the US tour because not many people there will know the older stuff........i hope thats what it is tbh those setlists dont look that exciting to me. and i swear to god if they end with Crawl or Black Thumbnail when i see them in December i WILL storm the stage in disgust!!!! Best get my lighter out ready .................(i joke i joke!)

I know Closer's an absolutely amazing song, and it's one of my favourites from OBTN but is it the right song to START with? I mean, anyone who's been at the shows they start it with, does it get the crowd going?

Black Thumbnail ONE song from Youth & Young Manhood? that's upsetting >_< I hope it is just because it's likely the older songs won't be as well known in America. I think they should start with something more lively than Closer, too, to get everyone going. Black Thumbnail and Charmer is an amazing ending I reckon. Two songs you can really go crazy to

Black thumbnail? Wtf? I mean, yeah it's brilliant, but they should totally finish with SNSL.

I mean, anyone who's been at the shows they start it with, does it get the crowd going? Well... In Toronto it got everyone going. But then again, they probably could have sang ANYTHING and we all would have gone crazy... Every song was insane. Meh, it's a kick ass song, and I kind of like it when bands start with less traditional rock songs. Pearl Jam pretty much always does it, and it's a cool and confident start - like "Yeah, we know we don't need to whip them into a frenzy right away; we're so awesome they are already there, baby!"

I can pretty much guarantee I would go mental at closer being the starter for obvious Matt-a-liscious reasons!!!
Also, I dont care where SNSL comes in on the list as long as it stays there!!!

Washington DC (DAR Constitution Hall) 11/10/08 setlist:
Closer Crawl My Party Razz Molly's Chambers Taper Jean Girl King of The Rodeo Sex On Fire Fans Revelry Milk Four Kicks The Bucket McFearless Use Somebody On Call Cold Desert Slow Night, So Long
Encore: Knocked Up Manhattan Charmer Black Thumbnail
A great show. Closer was a good start, like thericetree said, it followed the entrance to Mozart's Requiem very well.
Black Thumbnail was a good end, afterall, isn't it about leaving anyway? SNSL closed out the main set, so it was like old times.

Cool, so in general Closer was a pretty good start? That's cool then. Yeah I prefer them ending with Black Thumbnail than with Manhattan which I thought was an incredibly random choice

I REALLY wanna see Black Thumbnail, Frontier City, and Trani at the first Philly show! Maybe Happy Alone. That'd blow my mind.

Yeah just the first. I would've gone to both but I didn't get a chance to get them right when they went on sale so they were sold out already when I tried.
Doesn't matter so much though because I'm going to Madison Square Garden.

I'm going to the Atlanta show and I've been playing the beginning of Crawl over and over(I know I'm a loony bird) and getting excited because I know that's when they will take the stage! I'm so bummed that they aren't going to start with it! Pooooooo!
