When not on HA I like to spend the rest of my time preaching to others about the fabulousness of KOL, someone finally broke and have asked me to give them my fave KOL songs. I have no limit and did consider giving them everything but I figured they may not listen to anything then so I'm thinking 20-25 tunes should do it but I cant decide. Should I put my faves on like trani, crawl and my third house??? Or should I put on the ones I think the person is bound to like??? What would you absolutely put on it??? PS mods if this should be somewhere else please move

Start with some of the older stuff first. If they like some of the older stuff, that's a good sign, then gradually build them up to all the new stuff.

I didn't like Trani at first either. When I tried to get my friend to like KOL (Her fave band now;D) I gave her Four Kicks, Razz,California Waiting, Charmer, On Call and a couple of others.

Start with King of the Rodeo and The Bucket. If your friend doesn't like either, then there's little to no hope they'll like any of the other stuff.

Hmmm i wasnt even gonna put those on Theres so many other songs that are better but your probably right, dang it On they go so!! Are you kidding? King of the Rodeo to me is their bestest song...ever. The Bucket was the first song I ever heard from them ages ago. Don't start with songs that are growers, like Charmer or Crawl. I wouldn't start with any of the new stuff. If this person can dig the older sound, then they'd be interested in the newer stuff more likely than if you gave them Sex on Fire and then something older like Molly's Chamber or something. Then again, it's a one-shot deal, so give them ALL OF IT!!!

I dunno, I love them but not sure bout them being the greatest converters, but then again, I've probably answered my own question above, Ill put all my faves plus the bucket and KOTR, that should do the trick, and if it doesnt, well........ill just give up

^^ heh, we shall see Are you kidding? King of the Rodeo to me is their bestest song...ever. The Bucket was the first song I ever heard from them ages ago. Then again, it's a one-shot deal, so give them ALL OF IT!!! I forgot bout Molly Ill have to stick that on!! So Ill put em all on but put the non-grower stuff on at the start, that should lull him into a false sense of security then hit him with trani etc. Is charmer a grower tho, I loved that from the off I was thinking bout sex on fire.....not sure.......he is a bloke and i dont think they appreciate the sex on fire thing as much as us ladies, but I could be wrong!! mneh, ill stick it on, its his own fault for not giving me a limit!!!

i think you should give the ones that are more known to the general audience like on call and sex on fire and molly's chambers. than off course includes the ones you like the most but my opinion is that you "hide" some songs because i feel that once a person start to listen to kol and really like them its a better feeling to discover them and their sound. so that person would make a journey(musical) and start to love their songs. i personally like to discover things and not so much being told what to listen and what to do

I think Ahasarah started a thread about this a month or so ago, so you should try and see what people said then too. You need to think what other stuff your friend likes. If they are into pop music, then go for the singles etc. The fail safe (if your friend is female) is to play her the sex on fire video. She'll definitely be interested then, even if it is for the wrong reasons!

well not exactly hide. i mean, i dont know, maybe arizona, fans, pistol of fire, manhattan, cold desert, spiral staircase, razz. you know what i mean... i mentions this songs because, personally, when i started to listen to kol i kind of fell in love with them in the way that nobody(media, tv, radio) told me to listen. dont get me wrong, please.
