It always kills me when bands are small and underrated and people go "man, this group should be huge and get a lot of respect" and then when they do, all you people do is bitch, moan and complain about it. That is more annoying than anything the Kings have done in a 5 yr span as far as I'm concerned. No one knows what they really want. Either you're down or you're not, basically. None of this "I like them, but I don't want them to be huge" crap either. It's gotten to the point, where I have to ask myself "are there any real fans left?"

They were never my "secret" and people who make threads like this, claim they are all for the Kings and then proceeded to ramble on about some sort of personal issue really tick me off. I'm pretty sure I've alienated myself and offended myself from the masses, but enough is enough. I can't take anymore of these threads. I really can't. Normally, I keep quiet (well, I try to anyway) but honestly. Do you people want them to not grow and keep playing small shows and never be able to get their music out so that others can enjoy it? Do you want them to make the same record all the time for the next 20 yrs? I don't get it. Am I the only one who doesn't care about them being huge, who doesn't care if they want to experiment, who doesn't care that if they name their next album "Wassup" and start rapping, it's gonna be the end of the world? Personally, I wouldn't mind that because I know for a fact so many people on this site would loose their minds if they went in that direction.

Anyway, yes, I'm annoyed, but it's more at the fact that I have to deal with a billion of these sorts of threads on a daily basis. They're getting the recognition they FINALLY deserve. Deal with it.

(I know I sound uber-bitchy, and guess what, I ain't apologizing. I didn't say anything to hurt anyone's feelings. Just spitting the truth. As another side note, when I go "you", it's not just at one person. It's directed at everyone, and they know who they are. I feel a lot of smiting my way, but whatever. I don't care about a virtual number, nor will I leave because people are smiting me. That's another thing that makes me laugh, but I digress...)

but then i read this, and i srsly could not believe that i might have to stand next to one of these people at shows, SUCKS!!!!

But with BOTT and OBTN, I never understood why an extremely good looking band with really good songs never made it big in north america. Could it be something to do with their PR people? now reading everyone else's opinion, and what i said initially in this thread, it sounded like i'm a complete ass and i don't give a hoot for the kings.

to clarify: i bloody love the kings and in all they do!

it's just i don't like the idea that the venues are being packed because of this album only and the type of attention it's getting. if the people who are buying these tickets are not on the bandwagon that everyone's joining because of sex on fire, then i'd be more happy.

to the idea of them getting the respect they deserve, i'm definitely for that, because frankly, they are a fucking great band (and everyone should see that). but if they're just getting sold out to as someone put it "teenyboppers," it's kind of upsetting when long-time fans dont have the chance to buy a ticket (i.e. me ).

don't know if that makes sense any.

regardless, i still have plenty of love for the kings. and caleb's voice still gives me eargasms. i'll probably never stop loving the kings. who knows? maybe i'll have more chances of meeting them.

Well, the post wasn't about karma's and the few people who take that line and blow it out of context and proportion are probably the ones looking for more drama than there really is. Since you brought it up, I guess I should clarify that one sentence. When people make threads saying that they are leaving because of smiters, I do find it funny. I just think there are real reasons to want to leave a great site. Imposing my views? Never have done that, nor have I laughed in anyone's face. I just think the idea of leaving because of that is funny, and the only reason I brought it up was because my post wasn't the nice "everybody get happy and love one another" post and that people were gonna want to hang me or something and smite me. The whole point of that was to say "go ahead and smite me, it's not going to make me want to leave". Me as in Jasmine.

This was probably the first time I didn't censor myself. I don't normally post on these sorts of threads, and so I finally said, "you know what, I'm finally going to speak up and say what's really on my mind, since everyone else does".

Well im not a fan or drama, unless its actual acting, but I felt it was necessary tp say something about the, admittedly small, portion of your post because im sure some people do get upset when people laugh at what makes them upset. And I know you weren’t literally “laughing in their faces” because this is the internet you can’t see their face, but you wrote

Which does insinuate that when you see a post about getting upset about smiting, you laugh. Which is basically what I said.
Im not having a go at the underlying message of your post about how we should be happy about the kings, your opinion, one which I sort-of share, but I was having a go at the way you said it is all. You could have easily spoke your mind without being so harsh.


But anyway, on a lighter note, ahahha schnucams and laura you managed to even hijack this thread! That deserves you guys some karma
